More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Choosing a technically sound action is only part of enterprise IT governance. You also need to identify who has authority, which business outcome matters, and how value, resources and risk change the decision. These practice tests help you work through those choices before you select the best answer.

The course provides 360 original, four-option, single-best-answer questions across the current CGEIT job practice: governance of enterprise IT, IT resources, benefits realization and risk optimization. Scenarios include competing investment priorities, delegated decision rights, shared information assets, sourcing dependencies, benefits ownership and changing risk exposure.

What the six tests do

  • Governance practice: 24 questions on strategy, accountability, stakeholder engagement and information.
  • Resource practice: 9 questions on sourcing, capacity, people and contracted services.
  • Value practice: 16 questions on business cases, outcomes, change and oversight.
  • Risk practice: 11 questions on appetite, assessment and enterprise risk alignment.
  • Mock Exam 1: 150 questions in 240 minutes, with domain counts of 60/23/39/28.
  • Mock Exam 2: 150 new questions in 240 minutes, with domain counts of 60/22/39/29.

Both mocks approximate the official 40%/15%/26%/19% domain weighting using whole-question rounding. Each question includes feedback for all four options, an explanation connecting the decision to the scenario, and a short suggestion for further study.

How to use the tests

  1. Start with the focused sets and identify the condition that rules out each alternative.
  2. Take the first mock without checking explanations during the attempt.
  3. Review uncertain answers as well as incorrect answers, then revisit the corresponding job practice area.
  4. Use the second mock to test decisions under different constraints rather than memorize the first mock's answers.

The 80% course checkpoint is a learning target. ISACA reports a scaled score of 200–800 with a passing score of 450; practice percentages cannot be converted to that score. These tests do not reproduce ISACA's scoring or confidential exam questions and do not guarantee an exam result.

This is an independent BrightRung Learning practice course, unaffiliated with and not endorsed by ISACA. CGEIT is a registered trademark of ISACA. The course focuses on enterprise IT governance; it is not a CISA audit course, a CRISC risk practitioner course or a COBIT certificate course. Passing an examination and meeting the requirements for certification are separate steps.
