  • Select the analysis task and evidence needed for a business decision under changing conditions.
  • Distinguish elicitation confirmation, requirement verification, value validation and authorized approval.
  • Analyze requirement relationships, reuse, priority and the consequences of proposed changes.
  • Interpret business rules, state transitions, cardinality and measurable quality conditions.
  • Compare design options using relevant costs, benefits, assumptions and risk.
  • Separate internal solution limitations from enterprise restrictions and recommend proportionate actions.

More about this course

Choosing a familiar technique is easier than deciding whether its evidence answers the business question. These practice tests help you distinguish plausible next actions when authority, dependencies, scope and value pull in different directions.

360 original single-answer questions across six tests combine focused task practice with two timed, full-length mixed-domain mocks. Each question includes an explanation of the answer, individual feedback for every option and a specific study prompt.

Start with focused practice

  • Planning, Elicitation and Collaboration: 30 questions, 45 minutes.
  • Requirements Life Cycle and Strategy: 30 questions, 45 minutes.
  • Requirements Analysis and Design Definition: 30 questions, 45 minutes.
  • Solution Evaluation and Value: 30 questions, 45 minutes.

Then practise under a full-length time limit

Each of the two mocks contains 120 questions with a 210-minute limit. Their six-area counts are 17, 14, 18, 18, 36 and 17, approximating IIBA's published weights. The scenarios are self-contained; the mocks do not reproduce confidential exam items or promise the exam's exact difficulty or case layout.

Work through a test before reading feedback. For each error, identify the condition that rules out your chosen option: approval authority, a missing dependency, a questionable assumption, a measurement boundary or an effect on another stakeholder. Use the study prompt to revisit the relevant BABOK task, then attempt the other mock without memorizing answer positions.

Examples include checking invalid state transitions, separating AND/OR eligibility conditions, distinguishing verification from validation, analyzing residual risk, calculating potential value and comparing solution restrictions with enterprise constraints.

Scope: BABOK Guide v3 and the six CBAP knowledge areas, checked against IIBA's May 2026 handbook on 10 October 2026. May 2026 identifies the handbook edition; it is not presented as a new exam effective date. The focused-test time limits and 80% practice target are author choices, not an official IIBA passing score.

This is independent exam practice from BrightRung Learning and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IIBA. CBAP and BABOK are IIBA marks. It is not a complete BABOK textbook, an eligibility assessment, a qualifying professional-development course or a guarantee of certification.

AI tools assisted with drafting and cover-background creation. The questions and explanations were reviewed against the cited public IIBA task guidance. Official public task links are provided for further study; the full licensed BABOK Guide is not included.
