  • Frame research questions and select measures that reflect the actual business decision.

  • Interpret analytical results and distinguish predictive evidence from causal claims.
  • Communicate findings, compare solution options and assess implementation readiness.
  • Apply organizational strategy, governance, metric definitions and reusable analytics practices.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Choosing a plausible analytical technique is only part of business data analytics. You also need to recognize whether the question is useful, the evidence fits, the result is being interpreted fairly, and the proposed action can work in the organization. These practice tests help you rehearse those decisions through concise business scenarios and explicit reasoning.

The course contains 330 original questions in six tests, organized around the six publicly documented CBDA knowledge areas. It follows the current public competencies and the May 2026 IIBA certification handbook. The questions are independent preparation material, rather than official examination items or recalled questions.

Build judgment before testing pace

  • Four focused sets contain 45 questions each, covering research framing, sourcing and quality, analytical judgment, reporting, business decisions and organizational strategy.
  • Two mixed simulations contain 75 questions each with a 120-minute limit, matching the published examination length and duration.
  • Each simulation uses 15 research, 11 sourcing, 12 analysis, 15 reporting, 15 business-decision and 7 strategy questions. These are whole-question approximations of the published domain percentages.

Every question includes a correct-answer rationale, feedback for every alternative and a short review direction. Scenarios address issues such as selection bias, mismatched data grain, prediction versus causation, misleading aggregation, communication needs, implementation dependencies and the practical limits of automation.

Use feedback to find the missing condition

Begin with the focused sets. For each error, identify the particular fact that rules out your choice. Then take a mixed simulation without checking explanations. Review uncertain correct answers as well as mistakes, and explain why the alternatives fail before attempting the second simulation.

The 70% threshold is a course study target. IIBA does not publish a passing percentage, and practice results do not predict or guarantee certification. The focused sets' suggested time allowances are for learning rather than official exam simulations. This course provides question-based practice, not video lessons, the full IIBA Guide or an examination voucher.

This is an independent course and is not affiliated with or endorsed by IIBA. Certification names and marks identify the examination being prepared for.
