More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Customer requests, product strategy and delivery plans can all sound reasonable while pointing in different directions. These practice tests help you identify the evidence and constraints that matter when answering product ownership analysis questions.

Prepare for the independent IIBA Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis (CPOA) exam using 320 original English questions mapped to the seven public knowledge areas. The course follows the May 2026 CPOA handbook and the current public competency descriptions, including the distinction between general awareness and following prescribed rules.

Six tests with a clear purpose

  • Four focused practice sets contain 50, 60, 60 and 30 questions. Study foundations and customer intimacy; team engagement and product impact; delivery and learning; then value and capability.
  • Two mixed mock exams contain 60 questions each, with 90 minutes per exam. Each allocates six questions to foundational concepts and nine to each of the other six knowledge areas, matching the published 10%/15% blueprint.
  • Every question includes a rationale for each option, an overall explanation and a focused study tip.

Practice the distinctions behind the answer

Compare customer statements with observed behavior, outcomes with output measures, a roadmap with a release plan, and promising features with financially viable choices. Scenarios include ambiguous acceptance criteria, competing stakeholder needs, imperfect research evidence and delivery bottlenecks. Short knowledge questions reinforce essential terms alongside these applications.

Use the feedback to guide your study

Begin with the focused practice sets. For each missed question, identify the decisive fact, explain why the closest alternative fails and revisit the relevant knowledge area. Then attempt each mock under timed conditions before reading its feedback. Repeating a test can support recall; a fresh first attempt is more informative about your current gaps.

The practice threshold of 70% is a study setting chosen for this course. IIBA does not publish a fixed exam passing percentage, and these results do not predict or convert to an official exam result. The official exam is described as 60 knowledge-based multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes; these are independently authored preparation questions, not real, recalled or leaked exam items.

This independent course is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by IIBA. IIBA and CPOA marks belong to their respective owner. It does not include an exam voucher, the paid Guide to Product Ownership Analysis or official digital learning modules. No certification, passing result or employment outcome is guaranteed.
