More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a relationship model is only the start. L4M6 questions also ask you to judge what a buyer or supplier should do when priorities, capabilities, evidence or market conditions change.

This course provides 330 original practice questions in five tests, organised around Supplier Relationships in the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply. It follows the official document marked "2018 Syllabus | Version 2", published in 2023 and still linked by CIPS when checked on 11 October 2026.

Build the judgement, then test it

  • Test 1 — 70 questions: internal and external relationships, relationship stages, portfolio models, supplier preferencing, competitive forces, STEEPLED and added value.
  • Test 2 — 70 questions: value for money, appraisal and award, stakeholder and team behaviour, cost models, early supplier involvement, knowledge transfer, shared measures, continuity and exit.
  • Test 3 — 70 questions: partnering choices, benefits and costs for both parties, implementation, performance standards, reviews, audits and failure diagnosis.
  • Mock exams 1 and 2 — 60 questions each: integrated scenarios and calculations, each set for 90 minutes.

The three topic tests allow 105 minutes each as a practice setting. The mock length and time reflect the published L4M6 objective-response format of 60 questions in 90 minutes. Each mock uses an author-designed balance of 20 questions per learning outcome; this is not a claim about an official question allocation. A 70% practice target reflects the published OR pass mark, but a practice score does not predict an examination result.

Understand why each option fits or fails

Single-answer and explicitly labelled select-two questions include feedback for every option, an overall explanation and a focused study tip. Work through cost and scoring calculations, compare buyer and supplier perspectives, distinguish evidence from assertion, and assess a relationship's value under its actual constraints.

Start with the topic test for your weakest area. Review the explanations, note the condition you missed, and revisit the relevant syllabus topic. Then attempt each mock in one sitting before opening the feedback. Use the second mock to practise changed conditions rather than rely on remembered answers.

These are original learning questions, not official examination questions or recalled live items. This course is independently produced and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by CIPS. It supplements the official syllabus and your study materials; it does not guarantee a pass.

AI tools assisted in drafting questions and generating the cover background. The questions, answer mappings and explanations were checked for consistency with the stated syllabus and supporting sources.
