  • Clarify backlog items using observable behavior, dependencies and useful slices.
  • Apply developer self-management while preserving shared goals and quality.
  • Evaluate design and programming choices using relevant constraints and evidence.
  • Choose testing boundaries and interpret what passing or failing results establish.
  • Distinguish technical debt, unfinished work and meaningful quality improvement.
  • Apply Scrum accountabilities, events and artifact commitments in developer scenarios.
  • Practice an 80-question, 60-minute assessment-style session and review your errors.

More about this course

Knowing Scrum's vocabulary is only part of developer preparation. Can you recognize whether a change is genuinely usable, whether a passing test verifies the relevant risk, and when a team should adapt its plan? This course gives you focused practice in those decisions for the Professional Scrum Developer (PSD I) assessment.

Four focused sets, then two timed mocks

The course contains 400 original questions across six practice tests:

  • Refinement, Collaboration and Developer Planning — 60 questions.
  • Design, Architecture and Programming Decisions — 60 questions.
  • Testing, Quality and Technical Debt — 60 questions.
  • Integrated Delivery and Scrum Foundations — 60 questions.
  • Timed Mock 1: Evidence and Delivery Risks — 80 questions in 60 minutes.
  • Timed Mock 2: Constraints and Changing Conditions — 80 questions in 60 minutes.

The two mocks use 68 developer-practice questions and 12 questions from other listed PSD focus areas. This approximates the Scrum certification organization's published emphasis of about 85% and 15%; it is an author-designed distribution, not a disclosed official question blueprint. The four focused sets use a 75-minute study limit. An 85% practice score is a review target, not a guarantee or a calibrated prediction of your official result.

Learn from each decision

Every question includes feedback for each option, an overall explanation and a focused study suggestion. Work through scenarios involving acceptance examples, cross-functional skills, self-management, architecture, programming, testing, technical debt and useful quality evidence. Scrum framework, people and product questions connect these decisions to accountabilities, events, artifacts and commitments.

Practice separating Scrum requirements from optional engineering techniques. TDD, pairing, particular tools and local coverage targets are examined in context rather than presented as universal Scrum rules.

A practical review routine

  1. Complete the focused sets and explain why each rejected option fails under the stated conditions.
  2. Revisit the relevant Scrum Guide or engineering concept for errors and uncertain guesses.
  3. Attempt each mock in one 60-minute sitting before reading its feedback.
  4. Use mistakes to guide further study; repeating a familiar test alone is not evidence of readiness.

Scope and independence

Prepared against the current PSD assessment focus areas checked on October 10, 2026 and the November 2020 Scrum Guide. These are independent practice questions, not official exam questions or an exam dump. This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Scrum certification organization. Assessment registration and certification are not included.
