  • Use product vision and measurable goals to evaluate competing discovery and delivery choices.
  • Distinguish user needs, buyer constraints, market alternatives and product-strategy assumptions.
  • Form testable hypotheses and choose experiments that provide proportionate decision evidence.
  • Detect misleading comparisons, population differences, missing data and premature conclusions.
  • Interpret outputs, outcomes and business impacts without confusing activity with value.
  • Use feedback, quality and operating constraints to choose the next useful product improvement.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

AI was used to draft questions and explanations, support checks against public learning resources, and create the cover background.

A feature request can sound persuasive while hiding a weak assumption. A successful prototype can still leave adoption, pricing or delivery uncertain. This course helps you practise the decisions between an appealing idea and evidence that supports the next investment.

Work through 360 original questions across six practice tests, focused on the three areas published for the certification provider's Professional Product Discovery and Validation assessment: Engage with Vision, Lead to Value, and Evolve with Validation. The emphasis is on discovery and validation judgment, rather than memorizing Scrum roles or treating a delivery plan as proof of value.

A structured practice path

  • Vision, Goals and Stakeholder Decisions: 70 questions on outcome direction, roadmap choices and collaborative interpretation.
  • Market, Strategy and Product Boundaries: 70 questions on users and buyers, alternatives, strategic assumptions and sustainable value.
  • Assumptions, Experiments and Evidence: 100 questions on testable predictions, proportionate methods, comparison conditions and evidence limits.
  • Value Measures and Iterative Product Evolution: 80 questions on outputs, outcomes, feedback, quality and the next useful change.
  • Two mixed simulations: 20 questions each, with a 30-minute practice limit matching the published assessment length.

Every question includes an explanation of the reasoning, feedback for each option and a focused study suggestion. Supplementary-study links help you revisit the relevant public learning material. Numerical scenarios make their assumptions explicit, so you can distinguish a valid calculation from evidence that a product will actually succeed.

Start with the focused sets, record the condition behind each mistake, and then use the mixed simulations to practise selecting a decision under different constraints. Review the explanation even after a correct answer: the useful lesson is when the same approach would stop being appropriate.

The longer focused sets are training collections. The simulations use the publicly stated 20-question, 30-minute format and an 85% practice threshold; their difficulty and scores have not been calibrated against the real assessment. These independent practice questions are not official exam questions, and the course does not include an assessment voucher or promise certification. The certification provider does not sponsor or endorse this course.
