More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Can you choose the next business analysis action when the evidence is incomplete, stakeholder priorities conflict, or a change affects an approved baseline? These 400 original questions help you practice those decisions across the five domains of the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) examination content outline.

Start with focused practice

Four 50-question tests develop your judgment in distinct parts of the analysis lifecycle:

  • Needs and Analysis Planning: investigate business problems, evaluate value, engage stakeholders and plan analysis controls.
  • Elicitation, Models and Specifications: choose useful evidence, interpret process and data relationships, and make requirements actionable.
  • Options, Baselines and Acceptance: compare feasible alternatives, allocate dependent scope, obtain informed approval and refine acceptance criteria.
  • Traceability and Solution Value: maintain meaningful links, interpret status, assess change impacts and evaluate solution outcomes.

Each focused test allows 75 minutes. This is an author-selected study pace, so you can review uncertain decisions before moving to the full mock.

Test your pacing across the full outline

The fifth test contains 200 questions in 240 minutes, matching the published exam length and time allowance. Its domain allocation is Needs Assessment 36, Planning 44, Analysis 70, Traceability and Monitoring 30, and Evaluation 20, following the published 18%, 22%, 35%, 15% and 10% proportions.

Every mock question counts toward your practice score. The mock does not reproduce PMI's hidden pretest items or psychometric scoring. The 80% practice target is a course setting, not an official PMI passing score or a prediction of exam success.

Learn from the alternatives

Every question includes a correct answer, an explanation for each option and a focused study tip. Scenarios distinguish business value from delivered output, approval from validation, useful trace links from nominal coverage, and accepted solution behavior from realized operating benefit. Selected calculation questions state the assumptions needed to compare costs, weighting, capacity or outcomes.

Use the explanations to identify the condition that determines the answer. Then change that condition in your own notes: would the action still be appropriate with a different approval role, lifecycle state, dependency or evidence population?

Know the scope

The course covers all 28 tasks in the current publicly available PMI-PBA examination content outline, verified on October 11, 2026. The public outline carries a 2013 copyright and a July 2017 publication code; this course does not claim a new 2026 exam revision. All questions are original study material rather than actual exam questions.

This is an independent practice course from BrightRung Learning. It is not an official PMI course and is not endorsed by PMI. PMI and PMI-PBA are marks of Project Management Institute. There is no pass guarantee. Use these tests alongside your study of the official outline and business analysis concepts.
