  • Distinguish cloud deployment/service models and choose appropriate automation and scaling approaches.
  • Separate NFVI, VNF lifecycle management, SDN control, configuration and distributed forwarding responsibilities.
  • Trace virtual-network traffic through underlays, overlays, MPLS tunnels, VXLAN/EVPN and Geneve.
  • Compare Linux namespaces, resource limits, hypervisors, KVM/QEMU, VMs and Docker container lifecycles.
  • Interpret OpenStack launch inputs, HOT functions, Horizon workflows, ML2 drivers and security-group rules.
  • Diagnose Kubernetes and OpenShift resource, networking, rollout and version-specific installation scenarios.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Cloud exam preparation becomes harder when networking, virtualization and orchestration terminology blur together. A running VM does not prove its application is reachable. A valid template does not prove that resources were created. A working underlay does not prove that an overlay segment is configured correctly. These practice tests help you make those distinctions using concrete conditions, configuration fragments and operational observations.

Practice the JN0-214 cloud networking scope. Work through deployment and service models, cloud-native behavior, automation, NFV and SDN responsibilities, virtual network types, tunneling, Linux virtualization and containers. Continue with OpenStack instance decisions, Heat templates, Horizon workflows, networking plug-ins and security groups. Then review Kubernetes objects, namespaces and CNI responsibilities, followed by OpenShift workloads, CLI usage and the documented bare-metal installation roles and networks.

Six tests, two different purposes:

  • Cloud Models, NFV and SDN Foundations: 32 focused questions.
  • Virtual Networks, Linux, VMs and Containers: 60 focused questions.
  • OpenStack: Instances, Heat and Network Access: 36 focused questions.
  • Kubernetes and OpenShift Operations: 54 focused questions.
  • Mock Exam 1: 65 questions in 90 minutes.
  • Mock Exam 2: 65 different questions in 90 minutes.

Every question has one correct answer, feedback for each option, an overall explanation and a study tip. The focused tests support learning in smaller sections. The mock tests combine domains and introduce additional constraints, changed failure conditions and practical distinctions rather than merely repeating the focused-test wording.

Use the feedback actively. First attempt a focused test without checking notes. For each mistake, identify the condition you missed and explain why the nearest alternative fails. Review the relevant official learning material before repeating that area. Take the timed mocks when you can explain your choices, rather than recognize familiar phrases.

The scope follows the official JN0-214 listing checked on October 15, 2026: Contrail 22.4, OpenStack Zed, Kubernetes 1.24 and OpenShift 4.10. The public exam lists 65 multiple-choice questions and 90 minutes. Both mocks use that question count and duration, but their domain allocations and single-answer format are this course's design choices. The 80% practice target is not an official passing score. This course provides practice questions, not video lessons or hosted labs.

These are original practice materials, not recalled or confidential exam questions. This independent course is not affiliated with or endorsed by Juniper Networks or HPE. Certification names and marks identify the subject of study; no exam result or certification outcome is guaranteed.

A cloud operated off-site by a contractor is available exclusively to one company. Which deployment model applies?

Before you begin

  • Basic IPv4 networking and general familiarity with Linux processes and command-line notation.
  • Introductory study of the official JNCIA-Cloud topics; this course supplements learning material.
  • Ability to read short English configuration fragments; no cloud account or paid lab is required to answer the questions.

Who this is for

  • Candidates preparing for the English JNCIA-Cloud JN0-214 exam.
  • Network professionals building foundational understanding of cloud networking and orchestration boundaries.
  • Learners who want explained practice across OpenStack, Kubernetes and OpenShift rather than Junos routing configuration drills.
