  • Match Junos commit, operational and event automation to the correct trigger and enforcement stage.
  • Interpret XML, namespaces and XPath, and distinguish NETCONF session, datastore and operation behavior.
  • Read YAML and JSON structures without confusing textual values with typed data or nested collections.
  • Trace Python control flow, Jinja2 rendering and PyEZ RPC, configuration and exception workflows.
  • Select JSNAPy capture and comparison workflows and judge what a snapshot assertion actually establishes.
  • Inspect Junos REST and cURL requests across transport, authentication, headers, payloads and response handling.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A script can connect successfully and still read the wrong datastore, misinterpret a Boolean, or report a change as successful before it has been activated. These practice tests help you recognize those differences while preparing for Juniper's JNCIA-DevOps JN0-224 exam.

300 original single-answer questions across six tests cover the five published objective areas: the Junos automation stack and DevOps concepts, NETCONF/XML, data serialization, Python/PyEZ, and the Junos REST API. The software references are Junos OS 24.2, Python 3.8.10 and PyEZ 2.6.3. The questions use three answer choices each, with explanations for every choice, an overall explanation, a practical review action and official reading links.

Build the foundations

Work through four focused sets before attempting the mixed tests:

  • Automation Tools and DevOps Decisions: 40 questions, 60 minutes. Match script triggers to tasks, separate framework components and evaluate delivery gates.
  • XML, XPath and NETCONF: 45 questions, 65 minutes. Read trees, namespaces and predicates, then track sessions, datastore changes and RPC structure.
  • YAML and JSON Data Contracts: 40 questions, 60 minutes. Distinguish strings, Booleans, nulls, mappings and sequences; inspect nesting and serialized text.
  • Python, PyEZ and REST Workflows: 45 questions, 65 minutes. Trace code, render templates, select snapshot workflows and distinguish configuration, exception and request stages.

Combine the decisions

The final two tests each contain 65 different questions with a 90-minute limit, matching the published exam question count and time allowance. They mix the objective areas through code output, state transitions, boundary inputs, request construction and troubleshooting evidence. Juniper does not publish domain percentage weights or an official passing percentage on the current exam overview; the domain allocation and 80% study target used here are course choices.

Start by answering without looking at the feedback. For each missed question, explain which condition rules out your selected answer. Then perform the suggested review action and try a changed input before revisiting the full test. A higher score is more useful when you can explain the decision rather than recognize familiar wording.

These are independent preparation questions, not actual exam questions or an official Juniper product. This is a practice-test course rather than a video tutorial or hosted lab. Generic code and parsing examples have been checked locally; device-specific PyEZ, JSNAPy and Junos operations have not been run against a live device. No pass guarantee or official endorsement is claimed.

Choose one answer1 of 3

A site must reject candidate configurations missing a required description at commit time. Which mechanism fits?

Before you begin

  • Basic networking knowledge and familiarity with the purpose of Junos configuration and operational commands.
  • Willingness to read short Python, XML, YAML and JSON examples; advanced programming experience is not required.
  • Access to official documentation for follow-up study. A paid lab or physical Junos device is not required to answer these tests.

Who this is for

  • Networking professionals preparing for JNCIA-DevOps JN0-224.
  • Junos administrators beginning to use Python, PyEZ and programmable management interfaces.
  • Learners who want explained practice on automation inputs, state changes and failure diagnosis.
