  • Choose integration tasks and runtime environments that meet source access, target behavior and connector support requirements.
  • Trace transformations, joins, routing, aggregation and normalization without confusing row grain or cardinality.
  • Configure reusable mapplets, mapping parameters and task settings while checking their dependency and support boundaries.
  • Reason about transaction boundaries, dynamic cache state, persisted parameters and ingestion recovery.
  • Design taskflow dependencies, file-listener handling and REST requests that match the execution lifecycle.
  • Compare hierarchical modeling, SQL ELT and partitioning decisions against the published October 2024 CDI scope.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A mapping can be valid and still fail at runtime. A lookup can change its cache before a target write succeeds. A correct-looking join can multiply rows and inflate a total. This practice course helps you connect Informatica Cloud Data Integration rules to the decisions you make when designing, configuring and troubleshooting an integration.

The 360 independently authored questions follow the published Cloud Data Integration Developer Professional Certification — October 2024 Release scope. You will work through source and target behavior, mapping design, reusable components, parameter ownership, orchestration, recovery and advanced processing. Questions include both direct rule checks and scenarios that require you to trace row counts, values, execution order or failure states.

Six tests with distinct purposes

  • Platform and integration tasks — 55 questions: runtime access, synchronization, transfer, replication, masking, taskflows and REST requests.
  • Mappings and reusable logic — 55 questions: transformation behavior, joins, lookups, mapplets, mapping parameters and task configuration.
  • Advanced execution and recovery — 55 questions: architecture, dynamic tasks, UDFs, transactions, schema changes, listeners, cache state, in-out parameters, ingestion and exceptions.
  • Data structures and execution strategy — 55 questions: normalization, hierarchical connectivity, intelligent structure models, SQL ELT, partitioning and advanced integration.
  • Mixed mock 1 — 70 questions in 90 minutes: configuration and execution-evidence decisions across basic and advanced scope.
  • Mixed mock 2 — 70 questions in 90 minutes: support boundaries, conflicting assumptions, state changes and corrective decisions across the same scope.

Each mock contains 35 basic and 35 advanced questions, following the published 50/50 domain weighting. The detailed topic allocations are our practice design, not an official item-by-item exam specification. The 55-question topic tests use a 75-minute study setting. The practice passing score is 70%; a practice score does not predict an official result.

Learn from the reasoning

Every question includes an overall explanation, feedback for every option and a focused study tip. Relevant official documentation links accompany questions where useful. Explanations distinguish concepts that are easy to mix up: asset versus run, filter versus write operation, cache versus committed target, schema versus field mapping, repeatability versus uniqueness, and warehouse SQL execution versus agent processing.

A practical study path

  1. Complete a topic test, then review incorrect answers and uncertain guesses.
  2. Reconstruct the row or state trace before reading the explanation again. Identify the exact condition that ruled out each alternative.
  3. Revisit the relevant documentation and supported product configuration for your environment.
  4. Take each mixed mock under its 90-minute limit, then use its feedback to guide your next review.

This is an independent English practice course, not an official Informatica product or a collection of official exam questions. It provides practice questions and explanations, not video lessons or a provisioned Informatica lab. Certification eligibility and the exam's available delivery languages should be checked with Informatica before registration. The course does not guarantee eligibility, endorsement or a passing result.

Choose one answer1 of 3

A relational source is reachable only inside the company's private network. The target is a supported cloud warehouse. Which runtime placement best meets the source access constraint?

Before you begin

  • Familiarity with CDI mappings, connections and tasks, or completion of equivalent foundational study.
  • Basic SQL, relational keys and JSON/XML concepts; the questions assume you can follow small data and state examples.
  • An eligible certification path if you intend to take the official exam; verify your eligibility and available exam language directly with Informatica before registering.
  • No lab account is needed to answer these tests; access to a suitable authorized CDI environment is helpful for additional hands-on study.

Who this is for

  • CDI developers and implementers preparing against the October 2024 Professional certification scope.
  • Learners who have studied CDI fundamentals and want practice applying rules to configuration and troubleshooting decisions.
  • Integration practitioners reviewing advanced mappings, taskflows, ingestion, data structures and execution strategy.
