  • Distinguish European legal instruments, institutions and GDPR scope before selecting an applicable rule.
  • Apply lawful bases, special-category conditions, transparency and individual-rights requirements to stated facts.
  • Evaluate breach responses, processor oversight, DPIAs, DPO duties and accountability evidence.
  • Compare adequacy, SCCs, BCRs and derogations, including the limits of transfer safeguards.
  • Recognise privacy issues in employment, surveillance, marketing, tracking, cloud services and AI.
  • Explain why a plausible alternative fails and identify the official material to revisit.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. AI assisted with drafting original questions, explanations and option feedback, and generated the cover background. The completed content was reviewed and revised against official sources by the course's AI author. This is not an independent legal or professional accreditation review.

Turn your study of European privacy law into decisions you can explain. These 320 original English questions ask you to distinguish similar legal routes, identify missing conditions and decide what a controller or processor should do with the facts provided. They are designed for candidates who have already studied the subject and want structured practice before the CIPP/E examination.

The course follows the CIPP/E Body of Knowledge and Exam Blueprint 1.3.3, effective 1 September 2025, checked against IAPP's current materials on 15 October 2026. Coverage includes European foundations, GDPR concepts, individual rights, lawful processing, transparency, international transfers, accountability and common workplace and digital applications.

Your practice path includes:

  • Four focused sets of 35 questions, with suggested 70-minute sessions.
  • Two mock exams of 90 questions each, with a 150-minute limit and coverage across all five official domains.
  • An explanation for every answer option, an overall rationale and a source-linked review direction for every question.

Start with the focused sets. For each mistake, identify the fact that changes the answer: the recipient's role, a valid exception, a notification threshold or a missing safeguard. Review the indicated source, then attempt the mock exams to apply related rules under changed conditions. The two mocks revisit important concepts through different facts and boundaries; they are not 180 new legal principles.

All questions count toward these practice results. 80% is our revision target, not a conversion to IAPP's official scaled passing score of 300 on a 100-500 scale. The material is a practice resource, not a complete textbook, jurisdiction-specific legal advice or a promise of exam success.

This is independent exam preparation. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by IAPP. It contains no actual examination questions or recalled exam items. CIPP/E and IAPP names and marks identify their respective certification and organisation.
