More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Choosing a privacy control is easier when you can explain which facts make it appropriate. Practice recognizing the purpose, authority, evidence and lifecycle conditions that change a privacy manager's decision.

This course provides 360 original questions in six sets, aligned with the IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager Body of Knowledge version 4.2.0, effective 1 September 2025. It focuses on privacy program management, not investment performance.

Build your practice around the program lifecycle

  • Framework and strategy: scope, governance models, stakeholders, communication, applicable requirements and privacy risks from business AI.
  • Program governance: policies, responsibilities, retention, sharing, rights and breach procedures, metrics and role-based training.
  • Assessment and protection: inventories, data flows, supplier reviews, physical and cloud risks, mergers and divestitures, access controls and Privacy by Design.
  • Sustained performance and response: meaningful metrics, audits, assessment choices, rights fulfillment, incident records and lessons learned.

The first four sets contain 45 questions each for focused study. The final two contain 90 questions each with a 150-minute timer. They revisit concepts through changed constraints, control states and evidence, so you must apply the reasoning rather than recall a previous answer.

Every question asks for one best answer and includes an explanation of the decision, feedback for each option and a short study prompt. Answer before reading the feedback, identify the decisive condition, and revisit the relevant objective after an incorrect response.

Use practice results carefully

The two timed sets use a self-defined training distribution across all six domains. They match the published exam length and time but do not reproduce official item allocations, unscored items, case-study groups or the exam's split-half navigation. The official exam can also include multiple-select questions; these sets concentrate on single-best-answer decisions.

The 75% practice target is a study checkpoint. IAPP uses a 100–500 scaled score with 300 as its passing score; a practice percentage does not convert to that scale or predict an exam result.

AI was used to draft the questions, explanations and cover artwork. The material was checked against the stated scope and public sources by the same AI production agent. It has not received independent review by a human privacy specialist.

This is independent preparation material, not an IAPP product or an endorsed course. It contains original practice rather than official, recalled or confidential exam questions. Use it alongside the current official body of knowledge and your wider study resources. No pass guarantee is offered.
