More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a fund definition is only the start. IFC preparation also requires you to connect a client's goals and cash needs with investment risk, product costs and the responsibilities of a mutual fund representative. These practice tests help you work through those connections and identify the rules behind your mistakes.

The course contains 320 original English questions in six tests. Four focused sets of 30 questions build your foundations, followed by two 100-question, 180-minute mocks. Each mock follows CSI's published eight-domain weighting: 13%, 19%, 18%, 5%, 10%, 3%, 16% and 16%. The scope uses the current public 18-chapter IFC curriculum checked in October 2026.

What you will practise

  • Distinguish client risk tolerance from financial capacity, time horizon and liquidity needs.
  • Interpret bonds, equities, portfolios, financial statements and different mutual fund mandates.
  • Calculate returns, portfolio weights, NAV, costs and adjusted cost base under stated assumptions.
  • Compare fund performance on appropriate terms and recognize misleading rankings or payout claims.
  • Apply KYC, KYP, suitability, authorization, disclosure and ethical conduct principles in practical cases.

Every question includes an answer explanation, feedback for each option and a review prompt. Calculations show the relevant steps; scenarios identify the condition that makes one answer appropriate. The focus is understanding a decision rather than memorizing a list of answer letters.

A practical study path

Complete the focused sets after studying the corresponding material. Review both the correct answer and the alternatives you considered. Then attempt a mock under its time limit, identify the affected chapters and revisit your weak areas before the second mock. Use the results to guide further study rather than to predict an official result.

The 60% mock threshold reflects the published passing percentage; the focused sets use a separate 70% study target. Neither result guarantees examination success. These are independent practice materials, not official CSI questions or a replacement for the official course. This course does not grant registration or an IFC credential and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CSI. Tax rates and contract assumptions supplied in individual exercises apply only to those exercises; confirm current rules and your examination arrangements with the appropriate official sources.
