More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Preparing for the existing two-volume Canadian Securities Course means moving between market structure, product mechanics, calculations and client decisions. This English practice course is designed to help you test the reason behind an answer as well as the answer itself.

Know which CSC you are studying

This course targets the existing Canadian Securities Course and its two-exam curriculum. It does not target the forthcoming Canadian Securities Certificate, whose CSC1/CSC2 assessment model differs. Check your CSI enrolment before choosing practice material.

CSI states that, effective January 1, 2026, this course is no longer acceptable for new CIRO approval with an Investment Dealer. This independent preparation course does not confer registration, licensing, professional approval or course completion from CSI.

Work from focused practice to timed application

  • Use the focused sets to practise product features, calculations, risk distinctions and client-facing decisions.
  • Attempt Exam One and Exam Two separately, following the published domain weighting for each.
  • Review the explanation for every option, then return to the relevant chapter in your current CSI materials.

There are 320 original questions in six tests: four focused sets of 30 questions and two separate 100-question, 120-minute simulations. Each focused set uses a suggested 45-minute study allocation; it is not a complete official examination. Practice percentages measure performance on these original questions; they do not predict an official result.

Examples are educational, use stated assumptions, and are not personalized investment, legal or tax advice. This course is independently produced and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CSI or CIRO. CSC and related marks belong to their respective owners. Use current official materials alongside these exercises.
