More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Global logistics decisions connect inventory, transport, customer response, contractual responsibilities and product recovery. Knowing each term is useful; choosing a workable strategy requires understanding how the conditions interact. This course helps you practise those decisions for CIPS Level 6 Global Logistics Strategy (L6M10).

AI tools helped draft and check the questions and explanations and create the cover background. These are original learning questions, not recalled or leaked exam questions. The course is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by CIPS.

Practise The Decisions Behind Global Logistics Strategy

  • Compare central and regional stock, complete pipeline costs, freight modes and location trade-offs.
  • Assess supplier tiers, 3PL and 4PL responsibilities, distribution-centre roles and postponement constraints.
  • Evaluate disruption responses, shared dependencies and practical contingency readiness.
  • Distinguish governance structures, goods movement, ownership, risk, legal frameworks and insurance boundaries.
  • Choose reverse-flow routes and evaluate recovery economics, service bundles, internal resources and implementation barriers.

Your six practice sets

You receive 360 questions across six sets, with 60 questions in each. Four focused sets build knowledge and application: inventory and network design; risk and global governance; cross-border responsibilities and reverse-flow routes; and reverse-logistics strategy and implementation. Two adapted timed mixed sets then combine the subjects, with 90 minutes per set.

Every question includes an overall explanation that connects the conditions to the answer, feedback on every option, and a focused review tip. Calculations cover the assumptions supplied in the question; contractual and regulatory examples use explicit conditions rather than implying one country's rules apply everywhere.

How to use the sets

Start with the focused sets and explain your choice before reading the feedback. For a missed question, identify the condition you overlooked and review its learning tip. Then attempt a timed mixed set without notes. Use the second mixed set to test changed conditions rather than memorising the first set's answer wording.

Scope and format

The coverage follows L6M10 in the February 2026 guide currently linked by CIPS, labelled 2018 Syllabus, Version 2. The official qualification specification describes 35 one-mark objective items, two ten-mark short scenarios and a five-mark scenario, with a 90-minute duration and 70% pass mark. Here, matching-style scenario decisions are presented as individual single-choice or multiple-response questions. Each timed set has 35 standalone items, 20 short-scenario decisions and five questions using a shared case.

The platform uses equal-weight questions, so these sets are adapted practice, with a 70% practice target. They do not reproduce CIPS's matching interface or scenario weighting. Use them alongside the official syllabus, study resources and exam-interface familiarisation; a practice score does not guarantee an examination result.
