  • Choose appropriate declarative or Apex solutions using the stated data and automation constraints.
  • Design objects, fields, relationships and external identifiers for custom applications.
  • Interpret Apex control flow, query results and DML outcomes under clear transaction conditions.
  • Recognize bulk-safe triggers, recursion risks and governor-limit implications.
  • Apply record sharing, object permissions and field security to custom interfaces.
  • Connect LWC, Flow, Visualforce and Apex through suitable component contracts.
  • Build meaningful tests and select tools for debugging, monitoring and deployment.
  • Use two timed mocks to review the four published exam domains.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a programming language is only part of Salesforce development. You also need to choose between a formula, Flow and Apex, understand what happens inside a save transaction, and keep a custom interface from exposing data its user cannot access.

These 360 original practice questions help you work through those decisions with explanations for every answer choice. The course follows the four domains of the Salesforce Certified Platform Developer exam, commonly called Platform Developer I or PD1. The official guide checked in October 2026 states a Summer '25 exam baseline; this course does not claim a newer seasonal exam version. Questions that explore API 67.0 security defaults are explicitly identified as current-practice extensions.

Your six practice sets

  • Developer Fundamentals: 60 questions on platform architecture, implementation choices, data relationships and developer AI assistance.
  • Apex, Queries and Transaction Logic: 84 questions on language behavior, SOQL/SOSL, DML, triggers, limits, exceptions and Flow/Apex collaboration.
  • Secure User Interfaces and Component Contracts: 60 questions on LWC, Flow, Visualforce and server-side access controls.
  • Testing, Debugging and Deployment: 36 questions on reliable tests, tools, monitoring and deployment requirements.
  • Full Mock 1: 60 mixed questions with a 105-minute timer.
  • Full Mock 2: 60 different mixed questions with a 105-minute timer.

Both mocks approximate the published 27%/28%/25%/20% domain weights with 16/17/15/12 questions. They omit the exam's possible additional unscored questions and use a 68% practice target. The four focused sets use learning timers and an 80% revision target; they are not full exam simulations.

Make each attempt useful

Work through the focused sets before taking a timed mock. For each missed question, identify the condition that changes the answer, read the feedback for your chosen option, and follow the study suggestion. Practice with your own fictional records in a development environment when available. Then take the second mock to test a different set of decisions and boundary cases.

This is an independent practice course, not an official Salesforce exam or exam dump. It covers fundamental platform development rather than Platform Developer II integration design and performance tuning. Practice scores do not guarantee a certification result.

Three original single-answer questions from this course. Your answers stay in this page and are cleared when you leave.

Choose one answer1 of 3

A service performs one SOQL query per imported record. It works for one record but fails when the transaction imports many. Why does Salesforce impose a transaction query limit?

Before you begin

  • Basic object-oriented programming and relational database knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce objects and the basics of Apex, Flow and Lightning components.
  • A development org or Trailhead Playground is helpful for optional hands-on follow-up, but is not required to answer the questions.

Who this is for

  • Developers preparing for the Salesforce Certified Platform Developer exam, also known as PD I or PD1.
  • Developers moving from another programming environment to Salesforce application development.
  • Salesforce practitioners who want focused practice on Apex, secure components, tests and deployment decisions.
