  • Trace changes to Mule payloads, attributes and variables across connector calls and flow references.
  • Choose REST resources, parameters and response structures that match an API contract.
  • Predict DataWeave transformations, filters, ordering and type conversions.
  • Compare For Each, batch processing and persistent state for record-processing tasks.
  • Diagnose routing and error-handling outcomes using the owning scope and event evidence.
  • Review CloudHub deployment and API policy decisions in two timed mixed-domain mocks.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing the names of Mule components is only the beginning. A connector can replace a message, a target can preserve it, and an error handler can change which flow completes successfully. This course helps you reason through those differences before choosing an answer.

360 original practice questions across six tests help you prepare for the Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer exam, previously known as Developer I. Coverage follows the current official guide checked in October 2026, which lists Spring '24 exam alignment and Mule 4 fundamentals.

Your practice route

  • API contracts and delivery: application networks, REST design, APIkit, CloudHub and API management.
  • Events and application structure: payloads, attributes, variables, targets, reusable flows, properties and debugging.
  • Connectors and records: database and file operations, enrichment, For Each, batch processing and persistent state.
  • Transformation and control: DataWeave expressions, routing, validation and error handling.
  • Mock exam 1: 60 mixed-domain questions, 120 minutes.
  • Mock exam 2: 60 different mixed-domain questions, 120 minutes.

The four focused tests contain 60 questions each and use a 100-minute learning allowance. They are practice sets, rather than replicas of the official exam. The two mocks use the official scored-question count and time allowance, with rounded coverage across all 12 exam domains. They do not include simulated unscored questions.

Every question explains each option, followed by a worked decision rule and a study tip. You will trace event state, read short DataWeave expressions, distinguish contract failures from application failures, and choose a suitable processor under stated constraints.

Work through the focused tests with feedback first. Then attempt a mock without notes, review the rule behind each missed question, and test a changed condition before trying the second mock. The practice threshold is 70%; it is a study indicator and does not predict an official exam result.

This is an independent preparation resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Salesforce or MuleSoft. Questions are original learning exercises, not recalled exam questions. No pass guarantee is offered. AI tools assisted with drafting and the cover background; the authoring process included review and correction of the material. Hands-on practice in Anypoint Studio remains part of your preparation.
