More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Build a clearer approach to NISM Series XVII Retirement Adviser questions with 360 original single-answer questions across six tests. Work through retirement needs, investment choices, financial calculations, NPS, other retirement products, implementation and professional conduct. Each question includes an explanation for every alternative and a short review tip, so a wrong answer becomes a specific task to revisit.

Start with focused practice

The first four tests contain 40 questions each. They connect the building blocks: purchasing power and compounding, household budgets and retirement gaps, risk capacity, asset allocation, NPS account operations, mandatory benefits, income strategies and the documents needed to implement a plan. Their 60-minute limits are learning settings chosen for this course.

Then attempt the two full mocks

Each mock has 100 questions and a 120-minute limit. Both use the published nine-unit weight pattern: 5, 10, 15, 20, 10, 8, 12, 10 and 10 questions. This pattern comes from NISM's publicly available syllabus annexure; a newer weight table was not obtained. The second mock introduces changed conditions, including payment timing, scheme exceptions, risk constraints and operational failures, rather than simply repeating the first paper with different numbers.

The official examination awards one mark for a correct answer and deducts one-quarter mark for a wrong answer, with a 60-mark passing threshold. Udemy's percentage does not apply that negative marking. After a mock, calculate your net score as correct answers minus 0.25 times wrong answers; unanswered questions contribute zero. For example, 70 correct, 20 wrong and 10 unanswered gives 65 net marks. A displayed 60% correct rate alone does not establish an official-style pass.

Practise decisions as well as formulas

  • Calculate real returns, future and present values, contribution gaps, CAGR and risk-adjusted measures.
  • Distinguish ordinary NPS rules from sector, age, wealth-band and scheme-specific exceptions.
  • Compare pension, deposit, fund, insurance and home-equity choices against income and liquidity needs.
  • Recognise conflicting documents, unsuitable assumptions, adviser conflicts and grievance-stage triggers.

The public examination objectives were checked on 16 October 2026. Rule-sensitive cases incorporate the July 2026 NPS exit consolidation and relevant 2026 EPF changes. Tax illustrations identify their stated assumptions or assessment-year basis; assumed rates are not presented as universal current tax rates. The current Series XVII workbook was not obtained, so use this question course alongside the latest official study material and announcements.

This is independent exam preparation, with no claim of NISM or PFRDA endorsement, access to live examination questions, or a guaranteed result. The questions and explanations are in English; this does not assert a complete list of the official examination's supported languages. The course develops examination reasoning and does not provide personalised financial, tax or legal advice.
