More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

AIF distribution questions often turn on a small but important distinction: a commitment versus a capital call, enterprise value versus equity value, or a regulatory permission versus an investor promise. Practise identifying that distinction before choosing an answer.

This independent English practice course provides 400 original questions across six tests, covering the 13 units of the public NISM-Series-XIX-A Alternative Investment Funds (Category I and II) Distributors curriculum checked on October 16, 2026. Each question includes feedback for every option and a study tip to guide revision.

Work from foundations to complete cases

  • Test 1 — 50 questions: alternative investments, the Indian AIF market and industry concepts, with a broad introductory selection.
  • Test 2 — 50 questions: regulation, fund structures, fees and performance measures.
  • Test 3 — 50 questions: diligence, governance, manager evaluation and investor suitability.
  • Test 4 — 50 questions: documents, monitoring, exits, valuation, taxation and distributor conduct.
  • Mocks 1 and 2 — 100 questions each: 80 standalone questions followed by five four-question cases, with a 120-minute limit and the published chapter weights.

The cases require you to trace waterfall distributions, investment rights, client funding capacity, document conditions and valuation inputs. The second mock changes the decision conditions, including catch-up and clawback, share dilution, combined client constraints and bond discounting.

Use the scoring correctly

The official examination awards one mark for a correct answer, deducts 0.1 mark for a wrong answer, and gives zero for an unanswered question. The pass target is 60 out of 100. For each mock, calculate your own net score as correct answers minus 0.1 times wrong answers. Udemy displays an ordinary percentage and cannot reproduce negative marking; its displayed mock result is not your official net score. The four topic tests use a self-set 70% learning target and a 75-minute practice limit.

Turn errors into a revision plan

Attempt a topic test before reading the explanations. For every error, identify whether you chose the wrong rule, used the wrong numerical base or missed a contractual condition. Revisit that subject, then attempt the two mocks in sequence while keeping the case questions in order.

Regulatory questions distinguish ordinary rules from specific exceptions. Tax questions focus on income character, pass-through conditions, losses and reporting rather than promising a personal tax outcome. Numerical assumptions are stated in the question. This is a practice question course, not a replacement for the official workbook or a complete taught syllabus.

This course is independently produced and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official question bank of NISM or SEBI. It uses the current public curriculum as its scope; it does not claim a particular unverified XIX-A workbook edition. Examination rules and regulations can change. Check current official notices before booking your exam. No examination pass or investment result is guaranteed.
