Check the provider’s current objectives before booking your exam. This is independent practice material.

  • Prioritize security work using business impact, exposure, privilege and recovery dependencies.
  • Evaluate Zero Trust, MCRA/MCSB and CAF/WAF recommendations against actual architecture constraints.
  • Design and validate security operations, identity, privileged access and compliance evidence.
  • Choose suitable controls for multicloud infrastructure, devices, OT, services and network paths.
  • Protect Microsoft 365, Copilot, applications and data across authentication, authorization and lifecycle boundaries.
  • Diagnose failed controls and residual risks in two timed mixed-domain rehearsals.

More about this course

Knowing what a security product does is only the starting point. An architect must decide which control fits the business requirement, where the trust boundary actually sits, and what evidence would show that the design works. Several choices can improve security while only one resolves the stated constraint.

This course gives you 360 original English scenario questions for Microsoft SC-100. It targets the announced English skills measured from October 21, 2026. At the October 11, 2026 preparation check, that effective date was still upcoming. If you plan to sit an earlier exam version, check the applicable scope before choosing this course.

Build the decisions, then rehearse across domains

Use four focused tests to identify gaps:

  • 54 questions: security strategy, business priorities, recovery, Zero Trust, MCRA/MCSB, CAF/WAF and secure adoption.
  • 66 questions: security operations, identity, privileged access and compliance.
  • 66 questions: multicloud posture, devices, OT, cloud services, containers and network boundaries.
  • 54 questions: Microsoft 365, Copilot data, application security and data protection.

Then take two 60-question mixed mocks. Mock 1 emphasizes architecture choices and deployment acceptance. Mock 2 emphasizes failures, changes and residual risk. Each mock uses 14/16/16/14 questions across the four domains, within the published domain weight ranges.

Learn from the reason behind each choice

Every question includes an overall explanation, feedback for every answer option, a focused study tip and a relevant primary-source reading link. You will compare authentication with authorization, network reachability with data access, backup success with usable recovery, and a configured control with demonstrated enforcement.

For example, successful replication can copy ransomware damage. A private endpoint can coexist with public access. An enabled Conditional Access policy can target the wrong token subject. These scenarios ask you to identify the missing condition and choose a suitable treatment.

Complete the focused tests first. Review both correct and incorrect options, follow the reading links for weak areas, and explain the decisive requirement in your own words. Take the mixed mocks under timed conditions after that review. On a repeat attempt, justify the answer from the scenario rather than recalling its position.

Scope and expectations

The mocks use 100 minutes and an 80% practice target. Those are author-set rehearsal settings, not a confirmed fixed SC-100 form or a conversion of Microsoft's scaled passing score. The real exam may use other item formats and may include labs; booking details determine your exam duration. This course provides single-answer practice questions and explanations, without interactive labs.

Preview capabilities are identified where relevant. Questions avoid recommending the retired standalone Entra Permissions Management product as a substitute for supported Defender CSPM entitlement analysis.

An exposed payroll server has a medium-severity flaw; an isolated demo server has a critical flaw. Exploitation of payroll could stop payments tomorrow. What should determine remediation order?

Before you begin

  • Practical familiarity with Microsoft identity, Azure security and Microsoft 365 security concepts.
  • Experience implementing or reviewing security controls; this is architecture-level practice rather than an introductory product course.
  • Access to Microsoft Learn for the linked documentation; no paid cloud lab is required for these questions.
  • Preparation for the announced October 21, 2026 English SC-100 skills, with your exam booking checked against the applicable version.

Who this is for

  • Security architects preparing for the updated English SC-100 exam scope.
  • Experienced security engineers moving from product implementation to architecture decisions.
  • Microsoft security practitioners who want to test design assumptions and explain control tradeoffs.
