  • Evaluate Azure AI deployment, access and monitoring choices against concrete requirements.
  • Trace agent tool calls, retrieval, memory and workflow outputs to distinguish attempted actions from completed results.
  • Apply visual, text and speech processing controls while preserving the evidence needed for the task.
  • Diagnose search, enrichment and RAG ingestion defects before blaming generation or ranking.
  • Interpret structured document fields, source grounding and downstream normalization contracts.
  • Use two timed mock tests to identify weak decisions across all five AI-103 domains.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An agent can call a tool and still fail to complete the task. A search result can be relevant and still contain the wrong evidence. An extracted field can match a schema and still mean the wrong thing. Preparing for AI-103 requires you to recognize these distinctions and choose an implementation that meets the stated constraints.

These 540 original English practice questions build that judgment across Azure AI applications and agents. Each question includes feedback for every answer option, a worked explanation and a focused next-study tip. Scenarios address configuration, data flow, permissions, asynchronous state, grounded evidence and deterministic response handling; selected questions ask you to interpret or repair Python expressions.

Six tests with two different uses

  • Four practice sets of 95 questions each: Cross-Domain Foundations; Deployment and Implementation Patterns; Application and Agent Integration; Operational Decisions and Evidence. Use the 150-minute practice allowance flexibly, study in shorter sessions, and review the explanations before retrying.
  • Two comprehensive mock tests of 80 questions each: both use a 120-minute training window and cover all five exam domains. The second mock changes decision conditions rather than merely changing scenario names.

Each mock contains 22 planning and management questions, 26 generative AI and agent questions, 11 vision questions, 10 text and speech questions, and 11 information-extraction questions. These proportions fall within the published domain ranges. The 80-question length is our training design, not a claim about Microsoft's actual question count. The 75% practice threshold is a review target and is not a conversion of Microsoft's scaled passing score.

What the questions help you practice

  • Choose deployment, identity, access, quota and monitoring approaches under explicit application requirements.
  • Connect Foundry applications and agents to tools, retrieval, memory and coordinated workflows while checking actual execution and approval boundaries.
  • Interpret image and video generation, editing, visual evidence and safety-policy decisions.
  • Handle structured text, translation, sentiment and speech outputs without losing identity, timing or required artifacts.
  • Configure search enrichment, RAG ingestion and document analyzers while preserving source relationships and grounded representations.

The coverage follows the AI-103 skills outline effective April 16, 2026. Questions distinguish historical pro-mode concepts from the current Content Understanding agentic migration where applicable; an older API name is not treated as permission to deploy a retired interface.

A practical study routine

Start with a practice set and note the decisions you cannot explain. Review both the selected answer and the rejected alternatives, then study the related service behavior. Take each comprehensive mock under timed conditions after that review. On a retry, explain which condition makes each alternative unsuitable instead of memorizing its position.

This is a question-and-explanation course, not a video tutorial or a hands-on lab subscription. Its multiple-choice training does not reproduce every interaction type that may appear in the certification assessment. No paid Azure deployment is required to use the tests. Independent practice material; not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. No exam dumps or guarantee of passing are provided.

Choose one answer1 of 3

A support application has variable interactive traffic. Its policy permits inference anywhere within the EU data zone but forbids processing outside that zone. The chosen model supports all four deployment types below. The team wants usage-based billing without reserved throughput. Which deployment type fits?

Before you begin

  • Familiarity with Azure services and basic generative AI concepts.
  • Basic Python reading skills for selected implementation questions.
  • Willingness to review explanations and consult current service documentation when a topic is unfamiliar.
  • An Azure subscription is optional; these practice tests do not require paid cloud exercises.

Who this is for

  • Developers and AI engineers preparing for Microsoft AI-103.
  • Learners moving from general Azure AI knowledge to Foundry applications and agents.
  • Practitioners who want to test their reasoning about tools, multimodal outputs, retrieval and document evidence.
