AI-901 Azure AI Fundamentals: 300 Practice Questions

Overview

What you’ll practice

  • Apply responsible AI principles to evidence, access, fallback, accessibility and accountability decisions.
  • Compare supported model and deployment choices using modality, processing boundary, capacity and latency needs.
  • Interpret Foundry prompts, project endpoints, response text, agent versions and conversation state.
  • Handle Text Analytics errors, identifiers, source spans, audio encodings and Speech SDK events.
  • Process image inputs and generated outputs while preserving artifact and source identity.
  • Interpret Content Understanding fields, model mappings, source estimates and application calculations.
  • Use timed mixed practice to identify which conditions and result-processing steps need further study.
More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Build confidence in selecting an AI capability and handling its results. These English practice tests follow the current AI-901 skills outline, covering AI concepts and responsibilities alongside lightweight application development with Microsoft Foundry and Azure AI services. They are designed for learners who can read basic Python and want to connect service concepts to practical implementation decisions.

The course contains 300 original questions in six tests:

  • AI foundations, responsible use, model selection and deployment: 50 questions.
  • Foundry prompts, chat clients and agents: 50 questions.
  • Text Analytics, audio and Speech applications: 50 questions.
  • Vision and Content Understanding applications: 50 questions.
  • Two mixed mocks: 50 questions each, with 45 minutes per mock.

The focused tests provide a 60-minute study allowance. Each mock includes 21 foundation questions and 29 implementation questions, giving a 42%/58% mix within the current official domain ranges. The fixed 50-question length is a course design choice; the real exam's question count can vary. The course's 80% passing threshold is a revision target, not a conversion of Microsoft's 700 scaled passing score.

Questions ask you to compare feasible model and deployment choices, separate authorization from generated claims, process mixed or missing results, and diagnose the stage that actually failed. Python examples distinguish current Foundry project clients from classic interfaces and keep Speech futures, asynchronous Vision calls and Content Understanding pollers in their own contexts. You also practice preserving source identity, numeric types and binary media while transforming results for an application.

Every question includes the correct selection, a reason for each option, an overall explanation, a short review suggestion and relevant further reading. Use the focused tests to find a weak area, review the feedback, then attempt a mixed mock without notes. Some foundational rules are revisited deliberately in different application boundaries; reading the conditions matters more than memorizing a service name.

The tests use single-answer and select-two formats. They do not reproduce interactive exam tasks, official scoring, partial credit or exam navigation restrictions. No exam voucher or paid cloud lab is included, and an Azure subscription is not required to take these tests. The material is independent, is not endorsed by Microsoft, and does not contain recalled exam questions. A practice score is not a guarantee of an exam result.
