  • Diagnose container image, deployment, revision, scaling and connectivity failures on Azure.
  • Design Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL and Managed Redis retrieval with clear tenant and version boundaries.
  • Reason about indexing, consistency, request-unit costs, resource budgets and connection pooling.
  • Process Service Bus and Event Grid work safely across retries, ordering and acknowledgment windows.
  • Configure Python Functions triggers, bindings, dependencies and request contracts.
  • Trace Key Vault and App Configuration access, rotation and refresh behavior.
  • Analyze OpenTelemetry and KQL evidence with correct correlation, aggregation and time windows.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An AI backend can start successfully and still retrieve the wrong data, exhaust a connection pool, repeat a completed job, or lose the context needed to diagnose a failure. These practice questions help you connect the visible evidence to the layer and decision that matter.

Build your preparation around 312 original English single-choice questions in six tests:

  • Containers, hosting and deployment: 51 questions.
  • Vector data, retrieval and caching: 51 questions.
  • Messaging, events and Python Functions: 51 questions.
  • Secrets, configuration and observability: 51 questions.
  • Two mixed tests: 54 questions each, with 120 minutes per test.

Each question includes feedback for every option, a concise explanation of the governing conditions, a focused study prompt, and links to relevant official documentation. Practice image and revision lifecycles, tenant-safe vector retrieval, change-feed processing, cache validity, message settlement, API contracts, credential refresh, distributed tracing and log analysis.

How to use the tests

  1. Use the focused tests to locate gaps and explain why the alternatives fail.
  2. Attempt each mixed test before opening its explanations.
  3. Revisit the official reading and test whether changing a condition changes the decision.

The mixed tests follow the four published AI-200 domain ranges, but their 54-question format is self-defined. Microsoft does not disclose a fixed AI-200 question count or its exact question-type mix in the current public information. These single-choice tests do not reproduce interactive assessment components. The 75% practice target is a learning threshold; Microsoft's 700-point passing score is a scaled score, not a direct percentage conversion.

Coverage is based on the current English AI-200 study guide checked on October 13, 2026. This is an independent practice course, not an official Microsoft exam or an endorsement by Microsoft. Use it alongside study and hands-on experience rather than as a promise of certification results.

A deployment using the tag stable runs different image bytes after scaling. Which reference pins the intended artifact?

Before you begin

  • Familiarity with Python, basic SQL, containers and Azure application development.
  • Working knowledge of embeddings, queues and HTTP APIs is helpful.
  • No paid cloud deployment is needed to answer the tests; practical Azure experience remains useful.

Who this is for

  • Developers preparing for AI-200: Developing AI Cloud Solutions on Azure.
  • Python backend developers building AI-enabled Azure services.
  • Engineers strengthening vector retrieval, messaging, deployment and troubleshooting decisions.
