  • Evaluate XPath constraints using grouping, association existence and explicit empty-value behavior.
  • Distinguish page visibility, client execution permissions and entity access across role combinations.
  • Trace primitive and object parameters, list results, validation paths and commit-event behavior.
  • Choose responsive page structure, shared interface resources and correct object context.
  • Model relationships, system audit members, calculated values and transient wizard state.
  • Apply collaboration practices and review multilingual interfaces without coupling logic to translated captions.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Moving beyond Rapid-level app building means understanding what happens when a page filter is mistaken for security, a helper changes an object but not a primitive input, or a commit does not mean what the surrounding flow assumes. These practice questions help you work through those distinctions using bounded Mendix application scenarios.

You receive 320 original English questions in six tests. Four topic practices contain 220 questions in total. Two separate mixed mocks contain 50 questions each and allow 90 minutes, matching the question count and time limit published for the Intermediate Developer exam. Every question includes the correct answer, feedback for each alternative, a conclusion explaining the deciding rule, and official documentation links for further study.

What the tests cover

  • Collaboration, Scrum responsibilities, version control, app-directory assets and module boundaries.
  • XPath grouping, related-object conditions, empty values, role combinations, entity access and anonymous users.
  • Sub-microflow parameters, rules, list operations, validation, event handlers, commits and client feedback.
  • Responsive pages, snippets and layouts, domain relationships, system members, calculated attributes, transient helpers and multilingual interfaces.

How to use the practice

Start with the topic tests to identify the conditions you tend to overlook. Before opening the explanation, explain why the other alternatives fail for the stated scenario. Then attempt each mixed mock in one sitting without notes. Review the decisions behind your errors and try the relevant behavior in your own authorized development environment when possible.

The course follows the current public Intermediate certification topics and linked preparation paths checked in October 2026. Examples focus on Mendix 10 behavior, and version-sensitive questions identify the relevant version. The current exam guide does not pin one runtime release. Question proportions and topic-practice time allowances are course design choices, because official domain weights are not publicly specified.

The official Intermediate exam is closed book and proctored, requires the Rapid Developer certificate, and cannot be paused or resumed. Our mocks provide timed multiple-choice practice; they do not reproduce the proctoring platform. A 75% practice target is an ordinary percentage of correct answers, not a prediction of your official result.

This is an independent preparation resource, not an official Mendix course or an endorsed exam product. It does not contain claimed live exam questions, include an exam voucher, or guarantee certification. Use the latest Mendix Academy guide to confirm registration requirements before booking.

A sponsor wants a feature moved above a regulatory requirement in the Product Backlog. Who is accountable for the ordering?

Before you begin

  • Familiarity with Mendix Rapid Developer concepts and basic Studio Pro application modeling.
  • A Mendix development environment is useful for optional hands-on follow-up; it is not required to answer the questions.
  • The official Intermediate exam requires a Rapid Developer certificate; enrollment in this independent practice course does not grant exam eligibility.

Who this is for

  • Rapid-certified developers preparing for the Mendix Intermediate Developer certification.
  • Developers who want to strengthen practical reasoning about XPath, security, microflows and page context.
  • Team members seeking structured review of the public Intermediate preparation topics.
