More about this course

Prepare for ISTQB Certified Tester Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT) by practicing the decisions that make mobile testing different: device diversity, platform behavior, changing connections, interruptions and real-world use.

This English practice course follows the CT-MAT 2019 syllabus. It contains 360 original questions in six tests: four topic tests of 70 questions and two mock exams of 40 questions. The mocks allow 60 minutes each and follow the published chapter allocation of 8, 13, 11, 4 and 4 questions, together with the published cognitive-level allocation. The 70-question topic tests use a 105-minute practice allowance and an author-set 80% target; they are longer learning exercises.

What you will practice

  • Select devices and testing strategies using market evidence, business needs and feature risks.
  • Evaluate hardware, screens, input, orientation, interruptions, permissions and battery behavior.
  • Test notifications, operating-system settings, platform integration, connectivity and installation changes.
  • Examine security, performance, stored data, localization, accessibility, usability and field conditions.
  • Choose exploratory approaches, test environments, laboratories and automation methods.

Each question includes feedback for every answer option, an overall explanation and a focused study tip. Use the topic tests to find gaps, return to the relevant syllabus section, then attempt the two mocks under timed conditions. Review the reasoning even when you selected the correct answer.

The official exam has 40 questions and a passing score of 26 out of 40. Our mocks use a 65% threshold to reflect that score; practice results cannot guarantee an official exam result. CTFL knowledge is expected. This is a practice-question course, so use the official syllabus and your existing learning materials alongside it.

AI disclosure: AI tools assisted with question drafting, explanations and the cover background. The questions were reviewed and revised during preparation. This independent practice course is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official exam product of ISTQB. It does not contain official live exam questions.
