More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Choosing a plausible audit procedure is easier than choosing the procedure that answers the actual objective. CIA Part 2 often asks you to distinguish a control's design from its operation, decide whether evidence supports a conclusion, or recognize when a changed scope needs a different response.

Build those decisions through 400 original four-option, single-best-answer questions aligned with the 2025 Internal Audit Engagement syllabus. Practice scenarios cover procurement, payroll, inventory, customer refunds, system access, cybersecurity, recovery and cross-functional audit work.

A clear route from focused practice to timed simulation

  • Test 1 — Objectives, Criteria and Risk-Control Planning: 50 questions; 75 minutes.
  • Test 2 — Approach, Risk Assessment, Procedures and Resources: 50 questions; 75 minutes.
  • Test 3 — Evidence, Analytics, Findings and Conclusions: 80 questions; 120 minutes.
  • Test 4 — Supervision and Stakeholder Communication: 20 questions; 30 minutes.
  • Mock 1 and Mock 2: 100 questions and 120 minutes each. Each mock contains 50 planning questions, 40 information-gathering and evaluation questions, and 10 supervision and communication questions.

The focused-test durations are author-defined practice settings. The two mocks use the official Part 2 question count and time allowance; their topic allocation follows the published 50% / 40% / 10% domain weights.

Learn from the choice you made

Every question includes feedback for all four choices, an overall explanation and a focused study prompt. Work through why the attractive alternative is insufficient: a signed report may not establish substantive review, a larger sample cannot detect records excluded from its population, and a successful restoration may meet the time target while missing the data-loss target.

The course uses the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards as its standards basis and includes relevant Cybersecurity Topical Requirement applications. It keeps Part 2 engagement decisions separate from Part 1 foundations and Part 3 internal audit function management. Future detailed topical requirements with later announced testing dates are outside this edition.

Use results to choose your next review

  1. Complete the focused tests to identify weaknesses in objectives, procedure selection, evidence quality and communication.
  2. Review both incorrect answers and correct answers reached by guessing. Follow the study prompt to the relevant syllabus topic or Standard.
  3. Take a mock under its 120-minute limit, then review the reasoning before attempting the other mock.

An 80% practice target is an author-defined learning benchmark. It is not a conversion of the official scaled passing score and does not predict a pass. These questions are independently written practice material, not official exam items, recalled questions or exam dumps.

This is an independent BrightRung Learning preparation course. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
