More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a definition is only the start. CIA Part 1 questions also ask you to distinguish assurance from advice, separate governance oversight from management responsibility, and choose safeguards when roles overlap. These practice tests help you apply the fundamentals to short audit scenarios and explain why an attractive alternative falls short.

What the question bank covers

The course follows the 2025 CIA Part 1: Internal Audit Fundamentals syllabus and uses the 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards. Its four areas are:

  • Foundations of Internal Auditing: mandate, charter, services, independence, and the Three Lines Model.
  • Ethics and Professionalism: integrity, objectivity, competence, due professional care, skepticism, and confidentiality.
  • Governance, Risk Management, and Control: accountabilities, culture, risk categories, appetite and tolerance, responses, and control effectiveness.
  • Fraud Risks: schemes, exposure, red flags, prevention and detection, and appropriate investigation roles.

Six tests with different jobs

Start with four focused tests of 25 questions each. Use their 40-minute settings as flexible study sessions, then review the explanation for every answer option.

Move to two mixed mocks of 125 questions each, with 150 minutes per mock. The mocks approximate the published domain weights of 35%, 20%, 30%, and 15% using whole-question allocations. They are original practice material, not official examination questions.

Mock 1 emphasizes recognition and application. Mock 2 adds conditions such as prior advisory involvement, legal access restrictions, remaining exposure after insurance or exit, and controls that look complete but do not achieve their objective.

Learn from the alternatives

Every question has one best answer, an explanation for each option, and a focused study tip. The feedback connects the decisive facts to the relevant principle: why a control is too late, why a gift's low value may not settle objectivity, or why an approved charter does not remove scope interference.

A practical study sequence

  1. Complete the focused tests and identify concepts you cannot yet explain.
  2. Review correct answers as well as mistakes; a guessed answer is still a study signal.
  3. Take Mock 1 in one sitting and return to the relevant study tips.
  4. Take Mock 2 without referring to earlier answers, then compare the conditions that change the judgment.

The 80% passing setting is a course practice benchmark. It is not a conversion to the CIA examination's scaled score and does not guarantee examination success.
