  • Distinguish global VPC resources, regional subnets and dynamic-route scope when planning resilient networks.
  • Calculate primary address capacity, GKE Pod block capacity and hybrid packet-size budgets.
  • Implement Shared VPC, peering and NCC with explicit ownership, route exchange and address constraints.
  • Select private Google API access, private services access and PSC by service boundary and connection direction.
  • Configure and troubleshoot DNS, load balancing, health checks, CDN and GKE networking.
  • Evaluate VPN, Interconnect and BGP paths using topology, encryption, advertisements and failure evidence.
  • Apply Cloud Armor, effective firewall policies, NAT, Secure Web Proxy and appliance inspection at the correct layer.
  • Use two timed mixed-domain mocks and option-level feedback to identify remaining study gaps.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A route can exist while a packet still fails. A healthy load-balancer probe can coexist with a broken serving path. This course helps you work through those distinctions as you prepare for the Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.

Practice the network engineer's decisions: allocate address space, select private service access, trace route precedence, connect hybrid sites, configure DNS authority and forwarding, and evaluate the policy that actually applies to a new flow. Each question includes an answer, feedback for every option, a decision explanation, and a focused study suggestion.

Your six-test learning path

  • VPC and Hybrid Architecture: 60 focused questions, including cross-domain starting cases.
  • VPC, Routing, NCC and GKE Implementation: 60 focused questions.
  • Managed Services and Hybrid Connectivity: 60 focused questions.
  • Operations and Network Security: 60 focused questions.
  • Mixed-domain Mock 1, Design and Deployment: 60 questions in 120 minutes.
  • Mixed-domain Mock 2, Diagnosis and Change: 60 questions in 120 minutes.

The current official guide covers six domains: network design, VPC implementation, managed network services, hybrid and multicloud connectivity, operations, and network security. This course uses the guide linked from the certification page when checked on October 13, 2026. It includes current NCC, GKE control-plane access, Cloud NGFW and Secure Web Proxy considerations rather than treating an older networking syllabus as permanent.

The official exam has 50–60 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions in two hours and is offered in English and Japanese. Both English mocks use 60 questions within that published range. Their approximate domain distribution is 13/12/10/9/8/8, an author rounding of the published weights. The 80% practice target is self-set; Google does not publish a numerical passing percentage in the reviewed official information.

How to use the explanations

  1. Start with the focused volumes and write down the deciding packet direction, source, destination, route and policy.
  2. For a missed question, identify the condition that rules out each alternative, then review the suggested official documentation topic.
  3. Take each mock in one timed sitting and revisit uncertain decisions, including questions you answered correctly by guessing.

These are original practice questions, not official Google exam items. This independent course is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Cloud commands are study examples; this course does not include a provisioned cloud lab or promise an exam result.

Choose one answer1 of 3

An application has VMs in europe-west1 and us-central1. The team wants one privately connected network while keeping each subnet in its deployment region. Which layout fits?

Before you begin

  • Working knowledge of IP addressing, routing, TCP/UDP, DNS and basic Google Cloud resources.
  • Familiarity with VPCs and Google Cloud operations is recommended for the professional-level scenarios.
  • A paid cloud account is not required to answer the questions; optional hands-on study uses your own environment.

Who this is for

  • Engineers preparing for Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.
  • Cloud and network practitioners designing or troubleshooting Google Cloud and hybrid connectivity.
  • GKE/platform engineers who need deeper network-path, address-capacity and policy reasoning.
