Overview
What you’ll practice
- Select compute, data, storage and networking options from explicit workload constraints.
- Diagnose deployment and operational failures using identity, state, routing and telemetry evidence.
- Distinguish IAM grants, inherited access, service account permissions and federated credential paths.
- Evaluate billing, quota, recovery and change-control outcomes without mistaking configuration for success.
- Trace SQL, address and numerical fixtures, then use detailed feedback to target further study.
- Practise two 60-question mixed mocks with the current four-domain proportions.
More about this course
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Practice the decisions behind a dependable Google Cloud environment. This English practice-test course follows the current four-section standard Associate Cloud Engineer guide linked from the certification page, checked September 29, 2026. It helps learners with basic cloud and networking knowledge connect requirements, configuration evidence and operational outcomes. The renewal exam is outside this course's scope.
The course contains 480 original questions across six tests:
- Environment, identity and billing: 70 questions.
- Solution planning and implementation: 110 questions.
- Cloud operations and observability: 120 questions.
- IAM and workload identities: 60 questions.
- Two mixed mocks: 60 questions each, with 120 minutes per mock.
The focused sets allow 110, 170, 180 and 100 minutes respectively for domain study. They are longer learning sets that can be reviewed in sections. Each mixed mock uses 12 environment, 18 implementation, 18 operations and 12 security questions, following the current 20%/30%/30%/20% domain proportions. The fixed 60-question length uses the upper end of the standard exam's published 50–60 range. The course's 80% threshold is an author revision target; Google does not publish a fixed percentage passing score or a numerical result for this exam.
Compare compute platforms, deployment controls and workload requirements. Reason about managed data services, object and shared-file storage, replication, transfer paths and recovery. Network scenarios connect subnets, routing, firewall matching, service identities, load balancers and private connectivity. Implementation questions examine plans, state, change evidence and the limits of AI-assisted proposals.
Operational scenarios use observed symptoms and completed checks to locate the remaining problem. You will distinguish guest boot from network access, readiness from restart detection, job submission from success, and collection from usable telemetry. Questions cover current managed agent and developer environments alongside Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, data operations, logging, metrics and diagnostic tools.
Security practice follows the complete identity path: who obtained a credential, which account it represents, where permissions are granted and what the request actually requires. Billing practice separates payer assignment, budget notifications, exported records and resource controls. Selected SQL, address and calculation questions ask you to trace explicit fixtures rather than trust a familiar service name.
Every question includes feedback for every option, a condition-based overall explanation, a short review suggestion and relevant further-reading links in the feedback. Begin with a focused set, review missed conditions, then attempt a mock without notes. Some principles recur as limited consolidation or cross-service integration; the course does not claim 480 independent mechanisms or verified equivalence to live exam difficulty.
These are single-answer and multiple-select practice questions. They do not reproduce official examination navigation or scoring. No cloud lab, deployed resources, instructional videos, exam voucher or paid subscription is included. Taking the tests does not require a Google Cloud account. This independent course is not endorsed by Google and contains no recalled examination questions. Results guide revision and do not guarantee certification.
