  • Distinguish managed infrastructure responsibilities from application, identity, and external-system duties.
  • Evaluate cluster, environment, region, and network choices against explicit operational constraints.
  • Diagnose failures across connectivity, authentication, resource authorization, and consumer progress.
  • Apply scoped roles, ACLs, service accounts, SSO, SCIM, and credential lifecycle controls.
  • Operate managed connectors and Flink compute resources using task state and runtime identity evidence.
  • Evaluate schema compatibility, subject access, metadata classification, and Registry lifecycle risks.
  • Interpret monitoring evidence and test replication, cutover, and recovery dependencies.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. AI tools supported drafting and revising the practice questions and generating the background illustration; the explanations, answer conditions, and final presentation have been reviewed during course preparation.

A working Kafka connection does not prove that a consumer can join its group. A healthy cluster total can hide a hot partition. A replicated topic can still be unusable at cutover if the destination lacks the right schema IDs or client permissions. This course trains you to separate these operational boundaries when preparing for the Confluent Cloud Certified Operator (CCAC) exam.

Work through 312 original questions in six tests, with explanations for every answer option, an overall explanation, and a focused review tip for each question. Scenarios ask you to interpret evidence, compare supported options, and choose an action that meets the stated constraints.

Start with four focused tests

  • Managed foundations and Kafka operations: service responsibilities, environments, cluster choices, connections, partitions, and consumer progress.
  • Connectivity and access operations: lifecycle evidence, public and private networking, resource boundaries, role scope, and ACLs.
  • Identity lifecycle and streaming resources: SSO, SCIM, credentials, managed connectors, Flink pools, and schema fundamentals.
  • Governance, monitoring and recovery: compatibility, catalog and lineage, metrics, notifications, replication, and recovery decisions.

Then apply the knowledge across domains

Two mixed mock tests combine the seven published CCAC domains with different decision conditions. Each of the six tests contains 52 questions. The 90-minute timer and 80% target are course practice settings. The mixed tests are not a claim about the official exam’s question count, passing score, or complete interaction format. This course uses single-answer and multiple-answer questions; it does not recreate the official matching or build-list interfaces.

Make the explanations part of your practice

  1. Complete a focused test and note the evidence you used to choose each action.
  2. Review every missed or guessed item, including why each alternative fails under the given conditions.
  3. Revisit the relevant product concept, then attempt the mixed tests without relying on the earlier answer wording.

The scope follows the official CCAC outline linked from the current exam purchase page, checked on 15 October 2026, with operational facts checked against current Confluent Cloud documentation. Practice centers on Cloud operator tasks rather than writing streaming applications or administering self-managed brokers. Schema examples involve reviewing existing proposals, not designing a new data model. Worked capacity and backlog calculations state their own simplified assumptions.

This is an independent practice resource. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Confluent, contains no confidential exam questions, and does not guarantee certification. No Cloud account, paid lab, or separate client download is required to answer the questions; hands-on product experience remains useful alongside this practice.

Choose one answer1 of 3

A team wants Kafka replica placement handled without managing broker hosts. Which responsibility model meets this need?

Before you begin

  • Understand basic Kafka topics, partitions, producers, consumers, and consumer groups.
  • Be familiar with cloud networking and identity concepts, including regions, private paths, and scoped permissions.
  • Have some experience with Confluent Cloud or equivalent study; this is practice rather than a beginner walkthrough.
  • No paid Cloud lab is required for the question-based exercises.

Who this is for

  • Candidates preparing for the English Confluent Cloud Certified Operator (CCAC) exam.
  • Cloud operators, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and administrators working with Confluent Cloud.
  • Kafka practitioners moving from infrastructure concepts to managed-service operational decisions.
