  • Distinguish what frames, packets, addresses, and common protocols do at each network layer.
  • Check IPv4 masks, subnet boundaries, gateway membership, and IPv6 address and prefix notation.
  • Choose compatible cabling, connectors, device ports, and power arrangements from a network plan.
  • Interpret Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS network settings and diagnostic evidence.
  • Read basic Cisco interface, route, neighbor, inventory, and MAC-table output.
  • Apply firewall rules, CIA and AAA concepts, authentication factors, and home wireless security choices.
  • Document network support findings with clear limits, verification, and appropriate next steps.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A link light is on, but a service still fails. A host has an IP address, but its gateway belongs to another subnet. A packet capture opens, but it missed the exchange you needed. Network support requires knowing what each observation proves and what to check next.

Prepare for the knowledge behind Cisco CCST Networking (100-150) with 360 original English questions in six tests. Work through focused practice before attempting two shorter mixed tests. Every question includes an explanation, feedback for each answer choice, and a specific topic to review.

What you will practice

  • Trace encapsulation, local switching, and routed next-hop decisions.
  • Compare bandwidth with measured throughput and interpret bit/byte units.
  • Validate IPv4 subnet membership, masks, usable ranges, and IPv6 notation.
  • Match media, connectors, ports, transceivers, and power requirements to a supplied plan.
  • Interpret client settings, packet-capture limitations, host diagnostics, and basic Cisco show output.
  • Apply firewall conditions, security concepts, and supported home Wi-Fi modes.

Six-test learning path

  1. Standards, protocols, and addressing: 70 questions, 105 minutes.
  2. Media, endpoints, and infrastructure: 70 questions, 105 minutes.
  3. Diagnostics, captures, and Cisco show commands: 70 questions, 105 minutes.
  4. Security and integrated configuration judgment: 70 questions, 105 minutes.
  5. Mixed readiness practice 1: 40 questions, 50 minutes.
  6. Mixed readiness practice 2: 40 questions, 50 minutes.

The two mixed tests use different conditions, including translated packet fields, terminal profiles, invalid address notation, specific routes, and ordered firewall rules. Review the reason for each decision rather than memorizing an answer position.

How to use the explanations

After a first attempt, review both your wrong answers and correct answers you guessed. Identify the failed stage: physical connection, local addressing, routing, name resolution, transport, authentication, or authorization. Then revisit the recommended topic and repeat the reasoning with your own example.

An 80% practice target helps organize revision. The 40-question lengths, domain distributions, and 80% target are author-selected. Cisco's current exam page specifies 50 minutes, but its published topics do not fix the number of questions or publish these practice thresholds.

Scope and format

This is selected-response knowledge practice aligned to the currently published 100-150 objectives checked on October 10, 2026. It covers all six domains and their listed foundational topics. It includes text configuration fragments and abbreviated diagnostic output; it does not provide a device simulator or hands-on performance assessment. Use Cisco's official training and practical work alongside these questions.

These are original educational questions, not recalled exam items or exam dumps. This independent preparation course is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cisco. No exam pass, score, or employment outcome is guaranteed.
