  • Solve arithmetic word problems while tracking rates, percentage bases, remaining quantities, and units.
  • Apply high-school algebra, geometry, and basic probability to clearly stated problems.
  • Select word meanings and distinguish supported reading conclusions from plausible assumptions.
  • Differentiate scientific processes, electrical quantities, circuit connections, and component functions.
  • Identify vehicle subsystems, workshop tools, measurement methods, and common mechanical principles.
  • Trace rotations, joints, boundaries, and missing pieces in spatial assembly exercises.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An arithmetic problem can look familiar while asking for a different percentage base. A reading answer can sound reasonable without being supported by the passage. A mechanical diagram can hide a change in direction or leverage. This course gives you focused practice in identifying the condition that actually determines the answer.

Work through 360 original multiple-choice questions across all ten publicly described ASVAB subtests. Each question includes an answer explanation, feedback on every option, and a short review suggestion. Numerical explanations show the steps and units; reading explanations stay within the supplied passage; spatial exercises use fixed-width diagrams and clearly stated rotation and joining rules.

Six focused practice sets

  • Verbal skills — 70 questions: Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension, including meaning in context, main ideas, supported inferences, references, and conditions.
  • Arithmetic and mathematics — 90 questions: ratios, rates, percentages, work, units, algebra, equations, geometry, and basic probability and statistics.
  • General science and electronics — 70 questions: biological and physical science, circuits, measurement, power, induction, and common components.
  • Auto and shop information — 50 questions: engine and vehicle systems, tools, measurement, materials, joining, and workshop practices.
  • Mechanical comprehension — 45 questions: force, motion, work, torque, gears, pulleys, hydraulics, friction, and stability.
  • Assembling objects — 35 questions: matching joints, tracing features through rotation, filling shaped openings, and combining parts without unintended overlap.

How to use the questions

Start with the subjects that need attention. For calculations, work without a calculator and write down units. For reading, identify the exact sentence or relationship supporting your choice. For spatial items, track a distinctive cell, corner, or joint before comparing the whole outline. Review both correct and incorrect answers, then explain why each alternative fails before retrying missed questions.

These are author-designed subtest practice sets, with suggested training times. They are not full-length official simulations and do not reproduce CAT-ASVAB adaptive selection, tryout questions, or locked subtest timing. The practice target is 70%; it is not an AFQT percentile, an official passing score, or an enlistment requirement. Official ASVAB standard scores and AFQT percentiles use separate scoring procedures that this course does not estimate.

This independent English-language preparation course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the ASVAB Testing Program or the U.S. Department of Defense. It contains original learning exercises, not controlled live examination questions. No score, military eligibility, or job assignment is guaranteed.

Although the trial was brief, its findings were conclusive. In this sentence, conclusive most nearly means:

Before you begin

  • Basic familiarity with school mathematics and English reading; no military experience is required.
  • Paper and pencil for calculation and spatial sketching; practice calculations without a calculator.
  • A screen that displays fixed-width diagrams clearly; zoom in when necessary.

Who this is for

  • Prospective ASVAB examinees seeking independent practice across the ten enlistment subtests.
  • Learners reviewing arithmetic, vocabulary, reading, science, technical knowledge, and spatial relationships.
  • Students who want topic-focused practice with option feedback rather than a predicted official score.
