PSPO I Practice Tests: Product Owner Decisions

Overview

What you’ll practice

  • Apply Product Owner and Developer accountabilities without confusing delegation with a transfer of responsibility.
  • Distinguish product direction, Product Goal, Sprint Goal, and Definition of Done in concrete decisions.
  • Evaluate customer outcomes, experiment limits, and the difference between delivered output and realized value.
  • Use changed scope, capacity, dependencies, and adoption conditions to inspect forecasts and release plans.
  • Make evidence-informed backlog tradeoffs while preserving quality and Scrum Team self-management.
  • Practice the current PSPO I focus areas through four topic sets and two timed mixed tests.
More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a Scrum term is only a starting point. A Product Owner also needs to recognize what the evidence supports, which decision belongs to whom, and when a promising feature no longer serves the product's purpose.

Practice those decisions with 360 original questions in six tests. Work through four focused sets, then use two mixed tests to check your understanding under a time limit. Questions connect product direction, customer outcomes, backlog choices, delivery constraints, and the Scrum framework.

Four focused practice sets

  • Scrum framework and Product Owner accountabilities — 40 questions: empiricism, Scrum Team responsibilities, and event purposes.
  • Artifacts, Done, and Product Backlog decisions — 50 questions: product and Sprint goals, usable Increments, shared quality, ordering, and refinement.
  • Vision, business strategy, and value evidence — 60 questions: beneficiaries, product direction, goal horizons, outcome measures, experiments, and investment tradeoffs.
  • Forecasting, stakeholders, and self-management — 50 questions: conditional forecasts, release readiness, adoption barriers, user evidence, and team decisions.

Two timed checks

Each mock contains 80 questions with a 60-minute limit and an 85% practice threshold, reflecting the published PSPO I assessment's length, time, and passing percentage. Both include single-answer, multiple-answer, and true/false questions. The mix of focus areas and question formats is the author's teaching choice; the assessment provider does not publish matching quotas. These mocks include useful foundation reinforcement alongside applied decisions.

Learn from each choice

Every question includes an explanation of the answer, feedback for each option, and a specific study suggestion. Supporting reading links help you revisit the relevant official material. Compare quality with value, output with outcome, a forecast with a guarantee, and delegated work with retained accountability.

Start with the focused sets. Explain your choice before revealing the feedback, note the assumption or rule you missed, and revisit the supporting material. Then take a mock without checking answers during the attempt. Review your reasoning afterward before using the second mock.

The framework questions use the November 2020 Scrum Guide. Product reasoning also draws on current professional Scrum product guidance and the 2024 Evidence-Based Management Guide, without turning optional tools or templates into required Scrum artifacts.

This is independent practice material. It is not an official course from the assessment provider, contains no recalled assessment questions, and does not guarantee certification. Practice scores are not a validated prediction of the official assessment result.
