  • Apply security principles to concrete access, integrity, availability and accountability decisions.
  • Turn threats, privacy needs and business constraints into testable requirements and traceable evidence.
  • Compare architecture, coding and testing controls using their actual protection boundaries.
  • Evaluate release integrity, operational risk, incident response, recovery and supplier assurance.
  • Recognize AI-related risks in data handling, tool permissions, model changes and component provenance.
  • Review mistakes using option-specific feedback and complete a 125-question timed practice session.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A security control can be technically sound and still solve the wrong problem. CSSLP preparation requires you to connect requirements, design decisions, code, testing, operations and supplier evidence. These practice tests ask you to make that connection: identify the decisive constraint, compare plausible alternatives and explain the remaining risk.

The course contains 325 original English questions in five tests, aligned to the CSSLP outline effective September 15, 2023 and the current official domain guidance checked in October 2026, including AI-related lifecycle risks. The questions are independently written practice material, not recalled examination questions.

Work through the lifecycle

  • 50 questions on security concepts and lifecycle management: principles, risk ownership, roadmaps, metrics and retirement.
  • 50 questions on requirements and architecture: privacy, traceability, trust boundaries, threat modeling and design tradeoffs.
  • 50 questions on implementation and testing: coding controls, component integration, test strategy, evidence and defect decisions.
  • 50 questions on deployment, operations and supply chain: release integrity, secrets, response, recovery and supplier assurance.
  • One 125-question, 180-minute mock combining all eight domains with domain counts approximating the published average weights.

Every question provides feedback for each option, an overall explanation and a focused study suggestion. Use the first four tests to locate a weak decision rule. Before reading the feedback, state which condition excludes each alternative. Then take the mock without notes and revisit the objectives behind your mistakes.

The official CSSLP exam includes multiple-choice and advanced item types. This course uses Udemy-supported selection questions; it does not reproduce every examination interaction. The practice threshold is a study target. It does not convert to ISC2's scaled passing grade of 700 out of 1000 or predict a certification result.

This is independent preparation and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by ISC2. CSSLP and ISC2 are marks of their respective owner. Examination registration, professional experience requirements and certification are separate from this course.
