More about this course

An IT risk question can offer several sensible actions. The challenge is choosing the one that fits the business objective, the decision maker's authority, the available evidence and the stage of the risk process. A technically sound control may still be premature, incomplete or outside the decision maker's mandate.

This course provides 480 original single-best-answer questions across six practice tests, aligned to the CRISC content outline effective 3 November 2025. It focuses on applying risk concepts to organizational decisions rather than memorizing tool settings.

Start with focused domain practice

  • Governance: 45 questions on strategy, accountability, enterprise risk, risk appetite and external obligations.
  • Risk Assessment: 45 questions on threats, vulnerabilities, scenarios, business impact and risk estimates.
  • Risk Response and Reporting: 60 questions on treatment choices, control evidence, ownership, indicators and stakeholder communication.
  • Technology and Security: 30 questions on architecture, operations, development, data, resilience and security principles.

Then practice full-length decisions

Two separate mocks each contain 150 questions with a 240-minute time allowance. Each mock uses the published domain weighting: 39 governance, 33 risk assessment, 48 risk response and reporting, and 30 technology and security questions. The scenarios change decision conditions so you must apply the principles again.

Every question includes an explanation of the correct answer, feedback for every alternative and a study tip. Use these to identify whether a mistake came from missing a business constraint, confusing risk ownership with control operation, relying on unverified control effectiveness or choosing an action at the wrong stage.

A practical study sequence

  1. Complete the four focused tests and write down the condition that ruled out your closest alternative.
  2. Take the first mock under the time limit without consulting notes.
  3. Review the explanations, revisit weak domains and then take the second mock.
  4. Evaluate your reasoning as well as your percentage score; repeated attempts can improve recall without improving judgment.
