  • Define assessment scope, asset identity and dependencies across production, maintenance and recovery modes.
  • Choose appropriate evidence methods and interpret scans, captures and advisory applicability within their limits.
  • Evaluate credible threats, process consequences, control effectiveness and residual risk using explicit criteria.
  • Critique zones, conduits and security targets without confusing product capability with achieved protection.
  • Turn findings into testable CRS requirements, clear reports and accountable risk decisions.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

An open port is not a complete risk scenario, a product capability is not achieved protection, and a proposed safeguard is not a verified reduction in current risk. Practise making those distinctions while preparing for the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Specialist pathway, Certificate 2 / IC33.

The 320 original English questions focus on decisions an assessment team must make: defining the system and its dependencies, selecting safe evidence methods, interpreting vulnerability findings, connecting cyber events to process consequences, evaluating countermeasures, and turning results into useful requirements.

What is included

  • Four focused practice tests of 35 questions each, with suggested study timers of 55 minutes.
  • Two mixed mock exams of 90 questions each, with 120-minute timers.
  • Explanations for every answer choice, an overall rationale and a review prompt for each question.
  • Scenarios involving operating modes, evidence uncertainty, access prerequisites, independent safeguards, zone boundaries and requirements traceability.

A practical study approach

Start with the focused tests. For each error, identify the condition you missed and explain why the other choices fail. Then attempt a mixed mock without notes. Review both incorrect answers and answers reached by guessing. Numerical questions explicitly supply their local risk model; they do not claim a universal IEC risk formula.

The mock length, time and closed-book study format reflect the publicly described IC33 examination structure checked on 16 October 2026. Topic distribution is an independent teaching design: ISA has not published detailed examination weights on the inspected pages. The 70% practice setting is a revision target and is not an official pass point, scaled score or readiness prediction. ISA uses a modified Angoff method for its pass point.

This course covers the current public IC33 task scope. It provides objective-question practice, not the official training, practical laboratories, full standards text or a certification award. Official designated training and prerequisite requirements still apply. This English learning product does not establish availability of the official examination in any particular language.

This is independent preparation material and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ISA or IEC. It contains no recalled or confidential examination questions and makes no passing guarantee.
