  • Explain the purpose of security profiles and sustained security protection schemes.
  • Review incorrect choices using the deciding conditions and option-specific feedback.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing a security term is different from choosing a control that a running industrial process can safely use. These English practice tests focus on the decisions behind industrial cybersecurity: defining a zone, separating authentication from authorization, assessing a maintenance change, and recognizing the responsibilities of asset owners, integrators and product suppliers.

The course provides 300 original questions across six tests: four focused sets of 30 and two comprehensive mocks of 90. It follows the current public IC32 topic list and learning objectives for the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist certificate. It includes the current asset-owner security program context, security profiles and security protection schemes, alongside industrial networking, risk assessment, patching and secure development.

How to use the tests

Start with the focused practice sets. Read the feedback for every option, including options you did not select. Identify the condition that rules each alternative out, then explain how changing that condition could change your choice.

Use the two comprehensive tests after reviewing the focused sets. Each timed mock contains 90 questions in 120 minutes, matching the published examination length and time. The focused sets allow 60 minutes each for study practice. Topic distributions and the 80% practice completion threshold are course settings. They are not an official examination blueprint or an official passing score. ISA uses its own standard-setting process and reports pass or fail.

Preparation boundaries

This independent practice course is not endorsed by ISA or IEC. It does not replace the designated ISA training required for the certificate, provide examination registration, reproduce confidential examination questions, or grant a credential. Consult ISA for current eligibility, scheduling and examination-language availability. Course delivery is in English; this does not establish which languages ISA currently offers for the examination.
