  • Translate campus requirements into addressing, capacity, resilience and measurable acceptance decisions.
  • Apply current Central scope, profile and device-function rules to intended LAN/WLAN configuration.
  • Interpret API, authentication, VLAN, routing and multicast evidence to isolate failed dependencies.
  • Plan firmware and configuration changes with effective-state checks and recoverable limits.
  • Validate repairs while preserving access restrictions and required failure-state service.
  • Compare LAN/WLAN performance under explicit workloads, metrics and client constraints.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A campus deployment can look healthy in a dashboard while users still fail to authenticate, obtain an address, reach an application or survive an uplink failure. Preparing for HPE7-A01 means connecting design requirements, effective configuration and operational evidence—not just recognizing networking terms.

This independent practice course contains 330 original questions across six tests, aligned to the five published objective areas for the HPE Network Campus Access Professional Exam, July 1, 2026 update. The exam identity and structure were checked against the August 2026 Revision 8 preparation guide. It is intended for learners who already have basic wired and wireless networking knowledge and want practice making implementation and troubleshooting decisions.

How the tests are organized

  • Plan and Prepare the Campus: 45 questions on requirements, design constraints, addressing, capacity and deployment readiness.
  • Configure and Validate Access: 45 questions on current Central intent, LAN/WLAN configuration, authentication and acceptance.
  • Operate and Diagnose the Network: 45 questions on reporting, changes, firmware and diagnostic evidence.
  • Resolve Faults and Optimize Service: 45 questions on validated repair, preserved security and measured performance.
  • Mock Exam 1: 75 questions in 120 minutes.
  • Mock Exam 2: a different 75-question set in 120 minutes.

The four focused tests use a self-defined 75-minute training allowance. Each mock uses domain counts of 16/19/11/18/11 to approximate the published 21%/26%/15%/24%/14% weights. The 68% practice threshold is a study setting, not a prediction of certification success. These tests use single-answer and multiple-answer questions with the required selection count stated; they do not claim to reproduce every official item type or the official scoring process.

Practice the decision, then inspect the evidence

Questions include current Central scopes and inheritance, API outcomes, device onboarding, VLAN and aggregation behavior, multi-area OSPF, multicast, authentication, firmware policies, RF constraints and service validation. Each answer has a scenario-based explanation, feedback for every option and a focused study suggestion. Numerical exercises state their assumptions rather than treating a sample capacity or threshold as a universal product default.

Start with focused practice, investigate mistakes in the relevant official documentation, and then attempt the two mocks separately. When reviewing a wrong answer, identify the observation or constraint that ruled it out. Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting remain an important part of preparation; this course supplies practice questions, not access to a lab or video lessons.

A lecture hall meets its RSSI target, but simultaneous video sessions saturate radio airtime. WAN and wired uplinks remain lightly loaded. Which design requirement should drive the next change?

Before you begin

  • Basic knowledge of Ethernet, VLANs, IP addressing, routing and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with HPE Aruba Networking campus concepts or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Access to official product documentation for targeted study; hardware is not required to answer these questions.

Who this is for

  • Network engineers and NOC analysts preparing for the updated HPE7-A01 examination.
  • Campus administrators practicing wired and wireless implementation and diagnostic decisions.
  • Learners who want explained practice after foundational study and practical experience.
