More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Prepare for the written CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA) assessment by practising how to interpret evidence, apply security concepts and recognise the limits of a finding. These original practice questions focus on the reasoning behind an answer, including why the alternatives fail under the stated conditions. AI tools assisted question and explanation development and cover artwork.

Your practice path includes 360 questions across six tests:

  • Four focused tests of 30 questions each, recommended at 45 minutes per test, with a 70% learning benchmark.
  • Two comprehensive mock exams of 120 questions each, with 120-minute limits and a 60% practice benchmark.
  • Feedback for every option, an overall explanation and a short study suggestion for every question.

Work through the focused tests first. For each mistake, identify the condition you overlooked: the permitted scope, observed response, execution identity, trust boundary or required prerequisite. Then take each mock exam without notes and review the explanations after finishing. Revisit the supporting concepts before attempting another test; remembering an answer is different from understanding why it applies.

The main scope follows the V2.5 technical syllabus currently linked by CREST, across its ten sections: engagement practice, networking, information gathering, infrastructure, Windows, Unix, web technologies, application testing, web testing techniques and databases. Additional questions cover containers, macOS, monitored network architecture and Group Policy/security templates mentioned on the public certification page. These are supplementary course topics, rather than newly invented official syllabus objectives. Historical protocols and products are identified as legacy material where relevant.

The mock lengths and answering time follow the publicly described CPSA written format. Their domain distribution is course-defined because official domain weights were not established. Practice scores are learning indicators and do not predict an examination result. This is an English-language learning product; it makes no claim about the languages currently available for booking the examination.

This independent practice course is not affiliated with or endorsed by CREST. It contains no actual examination questions and provides no pass guarantee. It prepares written knowledge and decision-making; practical CRT preparation and hands-on laboratories are separate activities. Apply security testing only within explicit authorisation.
