  • Distinguish SAML, OAuth, OIDC and delegated authentication by their identity and authorization roles.
  • Diagnose Salesforce SSO failures using issuer, audience, recipient, signature and user-mapping evidence.
  • Select provisioning and reconciliation approaches for joiners, movers, leavers and customer registration.
  • Choose OAuth flows and app policies while controlling scopes, credentials, renewal and revocation.
  • Apply MFA, session assurance, permission and audit controls to architecture requirements.
  • Evaluate customer and partner relationships, external licensing and current login-experience limitations.

More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Knowing SAML and OAuth terminology is only the starting point. Architect-level decisions require you to identify who authenticates, who authorizes, which trust relationship is failing, and how access changes when a user leaves or a token is exposed.

Build that judgment with 300 original English practice questions across six tests for the Salesforce Certified Platform Identity and Access Management Architect credential. Each question includes a correct answer, feedback on every option, a reasoning summary and a study tip.

Practice before timing yourself

  • Test 1: identity foundations, trust and inbound SSO, 45 questions.
  • Test 2: inbound provisioning and OAuth architecture, 45 questions.
  • Test 3: access governance, MFA and Salesforce Identity, 44 questions.
  • Test 4: customer and partner identity, licensing and login experiences, 46 questions.
  • Tests 5 and 6: two distinct 60-question architecture mocks, each with a 120-minute timer and a 65% benchmark.

The focused tests use a self-selected 80% study target. The mock settings follow the official guide's scored-question count, duration and passing score, with the six domain weights rounded to whole questions. Up to five unscored questions in the real exam are not reproduced here.

Study the decision, then change the boundary

Work through the focused tests first. Review the reason each alternative fails, then revisit missed questions without memorizing their answer positions. Use the mocks to practice combining identity matching, provisioning, permissions, session assurance, token lifecycle and external-user relationships under time pressure.

The current official guide checked on October 11, 2026 still identifies the Summer '23 exam scope. Current deployment notes are explicitly distinguished: Identity Connect retirement is tied to existing subscription ends, new Connected App creation is restricted as of Spring '26, Embedded Login is disabled by default from Summer '24, and privileged-user phishing-resistant MFA has a separate current scope. These notes support practical judgment without relabeling the official exam as a new release.

The course does not guarantee an exam result and contains no live-org laboratory exercises or video lectures. Questions and explanations were prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by the same course producer; this is not independent professional certification review.
