  • Choose tenant, user, external identity, and hybrid identity controls for specific access boundaries.
  • Interpret authentication, Conditional Access, token, and identity-risk conditions before choosing a remediation.
  • Separate application registration, enterprise application, workload identity, API permission, and consent decisions.
  • Select entitlement management, access review, PIM, and monitoring actions from lifecycle evidence.
  • Use per-choice feedback to explain why plausible identity designs fail a stated requirement.
More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

SC-300 scenarios rarely end with recognizing a feature name. You need to decide which identity owns access, where a policy is evaluated, what a sign-in or audit record actually proves, and which step removes access when a lifecycle ends. These tests give you those decisions in concrete situations, with feedback on every choice.

What is included

  • 360 original questions in six tests: four focused tests on user and hybrid identity (65); authentication and access management (75); workload and application identity (65); and identity governance (55). Two further mixed-domain exams contain 50 questions each.
  • Timed practice: each mixed-domain exam allows 100 minutes. The focused tests allow 130, 150, 130, and 110 minutes. The 80% course threshold is a study target, not a conversion of Microsoft's scaled 700 passing score.
  • Per-choice explanations: each question identifies the decisive condition, explains why the alternatives fail under it, and points to relevant Microsoft Learn material for further study.

Start with the focused tests to find gaps in tenant and hybrid identity, Conditional Access and risk, application permissions, or governance. Then take the mixed-domain exams and review why each near-miss option does not meet the stated constraints.

Exam boundary: This course follows the SC-300 skills measured from April 27, 2026. Microsoft has announced an English exam update for October 28, 2026; check the current Microsoft study guide when scheduling. Microsoft does not publish a fixed question count or every interaction format for the live exam. These author-designed selected-response tests do not simulate labs or every exam interaction. This independent course is not sponsored or endorsed by Microsoft and contains no official exam questions.

A regional User Administrator has a role assignment scoped to an administrative unit (AU). The AU contains the region's security group, but its 40 user members have not been added to the AU as users. The administrator can manage the group's membership but cannot update one member's user profile. What is the smallest scope change that addresses the profile task without granting tenant-wide administration?

Before you begin

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, basic Azure and Microsoft 365 administration, and common identity terms.

Who this is for
