More about this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Practice the decisions behind a reliable analytical answer

A query can run successfully and still answer the wrong question. These practice tests ask you to trace rows, check metric definitions, select governed data, and diagnose the evidence behind a result. Prepare for the Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate exam while strengthening the judgment you use in everyday reporting.

330 original questions across six tests combine four focused practice sets of 60 questions with two full mocks of 45 questions each. Every question includes feedback for every answer option, an overall explanation, a study tip, and a scope or documentation link for further study. Both single-answer and select-two questions are included.

The four focused sets cover:

  • Platform foundations, data preparation, ingestion, modeling, and governance.
  • SQL query results, joins, NULLs, aggregates, views, tables, and historical versions.
  • Query performance, Photon, caching, liquid clustering, and reliable reporting.
  • AI/BI dashboards, visualizations, filters, schedules, alerts, and Genie curation and evaluation.

The two mocks use 45 questions in 90 minutes, with all nine exam domains represented and rounded allocations close to the published domain weights. They use different decision conditions, including join multiplicity, source coverage, audit cutoffs, signed refunds, cache evidence, and data-identity boundaries. They model the scored question count; additional unscored items that may appear in the real exam are not simulated. The four focused sets also allow 90 minutes each as a course practice setting.

Learn from the reason for an error

When you miss a question, distinguish a syntax mistake from a data-grain mistake, an access problem, or a misunderstood business rule. Revisit the relevant focused set, consult the linked documentation, and then attempt the next mock. The course's 80% target is an author-set revision goal, not a claim about the official passing mark.

Scope: the October 30, 2025 exam guide linked by the official certification page, checked on October 10, 2026. Exam terms such as Databricks Assistant, Delta Live Tables, and Genie spaces are retained where they identify the guide's objectives; current documentation may use newer product names. This course emphasizes analyst SQL and reporting tasks rather than advanced Python or pipeline engineering.

These are independently developed practice questions, not recalled exam items. This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by Databricks and does not guarantee certification. AI tools assisted question drafting and the background illustration; the material was reviewed against the stated scope and cited documentation. The course provides practice tests and written feedback, not video lessons or a hosted Databricks lab.
