Questions and explanations: American English
Check the provider’s current objectives before booking your exam. This is independent practice material.
- Select Databricks compute and ingestion methods using workload, source, cadence, and governance constraints.
- Distinguish COPY INTO file tracking, Auto Loader schema evolution, checkpoints, and record-level deduplication.
- Reason through SQL and PySpark transformations, joins, array expansion, aggregation, and data quality rules.
- Configure Lakeflow Jobs dependencies, retry policies, conditional tasks, loops, and data-driven triggers.
- Separate Git development, bundle validation, environment promotion, and per-run job parameters.
- Diagnose performance and execution failures from job history, task graphs, and Spark stage evidence.
- Apply Unity Catalog table lifecycle, hierarchy privileges, row filters, column masks, and ABAC boundaries.
- Practice pacing with two 45-question, 90-minute mock exams covering the seven current domains.
More about this course
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Knowing the names of Databricks features is only the starting point. Can you choose an ingestion method when the source changes, preserve unmatched rows in a join, trace a blocked job task, and grant access without exposing sensitive values?
Build those decisions with 390 original practice questions aligned to the May 4, 2026 Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate exam guide. Work through SQL and PySpark code-reading questions, ingestion and orchestration scenarios, deployment choices, performance evidence, and Unity Catalog security boundaries.
Four focused practice tests
- Platform and ingestion — 80 questions: compute selection, file loading, Auto Loader schemas and checkpoints, Lakeflow Connect, and external-source ingestion.
- Transformation and modeling — 80 questions: nulls, joins, arrays, deduplication, aggregation, tuning, gold-layer objects, and data quality.
- Jobs and CI/CD — 70 questions: dependencies, retries, branches, loops, triggers, Git folders, and Declarative Automation Bundles.
- Monitoring and governance — 70 questions: job history, Spark stage evidence, liquid clustering, predictive optimization, table lifecycle, privileges, row filters, column masks, and ABAC.
Two timed mock exams
Each mock contains 45 questions with a 90-minute limit, matching the published scored-item count and time limit. Both cover all seven exam domains using close integer approximations to the published weights. These are independently written training forms, not actual exam questions. The official exam may include unidentified unscored items.
Learn from each decision
Every question includes an explanation for every option, an overall explanation connecting the evidence to the answer, and a study tip. Compare the near-miss choices, identify the condition you overlooked, and revisit the topic before trying a mock under timed conditions.
Start with the focused tests, then take Mock 1 without consulting the feedback. Review errors by task rather than memorizing answer positions. Use Mock 2 to check whether you can apply the rules under different constraints. The course's 80% revision target is a learning benchmark; Databricks does not publish a numeric certification passing score.
This is an independent practice-test course from BrightRung Learning. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Databricks, contains no exam dumps, and does not guarantee certification. It provides question-based practice rather than video lessons or a provisioned lab. Hands-on work in your own supported Databricks environment remains valuable preparation.
