ServiceNow CIS-EM: Alert Diagnosis Practice Tests

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Fewer pages may reflect better filtering or a required monitoring source that has gone silent. Practise checking collection and known failure detection before accepting reduced volume as successful noise reduction.

These tests support ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Event Management, CIS-EM, using the January 2026 mainline blueprint.

Follow the signal through the operational response

Questions cover Event Management architecture, CSDM and CMDB context, field mapping, parsing, filters, thresholds, identity, CI binding, alert lifecycle, grouping, service impact and response. Source-integration, ACC and Metric Intelligence tasks distinguish received data from usable input and a completed action from verified recovery.

Each option has feedback, with an overall explanation and study tip. You can examine why reliable collectors may still need central event normalisation and correlation, or why a quiet dashboard requires checking coverage before declaring improvement.

The 330 original questions form four focused tests of 40, 85, 85 and 60 questions and two 30-question, 60-minute mocks. The mocks approximate the six published domain weights. Multiple-answer prompts state the selection count.

Diagnose the stage that failed

Begin with foundations, then event processing, alert management and sources. For every error, record whether it arose at receipt, identity, binding, grouping, response or validation. Review the relevant product material and trace a changed case before attempting the mixed mocks.

The 80% practice target is an author-set study goal, not an official passing score. The mainline blueprint does not specify a platform release family; illustrative settings are not universal defaults.

Basic ServiceNow, CI and monitoring knowledge is recommended, with scripting literacy useful for parsing questions. No provisioned instance or video training is supplied. This independent practice course is not endorsed by ServiceNow, does not contain actual exam questions and does not guarantee certification.

What Will You Learn?

  • Trace event collection, normalization, alert creation, CI binding and response to identify the first failed stage.
  • Design stable issue identifiers and recovery mappings without merging independent hosts, resources or source installations.
  • Evaluate rule scope, continuation, threshold timing and binding overrides using the conditions given in a scenario.
  • Interpret Regex, JavaScript and PowerShell captures, conversions, missing values and valid zero measurements.
  • Distinguish correlation, learned grouping, priority, service impact and SLA evidence when investigating alerts.
  • Validate push/pull, email and ACC integrations and interpret Metric Intelligence input, models, bounds and scores.
