LEED Green Associate v5 Practice Tests: Project Decisions

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A site strategy can satisfy one objective while missing an access constraint. An environmental declaration does not answer every material-performance question. Prepare for LEED Green Associate v5 by connecting green-building concepts with project conditions and appropriate evidence.

Evaluate the intended benefit

Practice LEED process and integrative planning, location and transportation, sites, water, energy, materials and occupant quality across the eight domains. Questions distinguish mandatory requirements from optional credits, project certification from a personal credential, and an assessment from achieved performance.

The 360 original single-answer questions include four 40-question focused sets and two 100-question, 120-minute mocks. Each question has option-specific feedback, an overall explanation and a study tip.

Inspect assumptions before accepting the result

Work through supplied calculations involving water, travel, energy intensity, carbon or simplified lifecycle cost. Identify units, boundaries and missing information, then explain why an attractive alternative fails. Use the official handbook and references to revisit a weaker domain before the next mock.

Introductory green-building knowledge and basic arithmetic are helpful. No project software or site access is needed; the exercises do not replace professional project calculations.

The scope follows the September 2026 handbook and v5 materials. All 100 mock items count toward practice feedback; official unidentified unscored status is not recreated. The 80% target is not a conversion of the official scaled passing score. This independent resource has no USGBC or GBCI endorsement and does not grant a credential or exam voucher.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish LEED certification, personal credentials, organization roles, prerequisites, credits, and review evidence.
  • Select a suitable rating-system family and apply version, scope, and project-boundary reasoning.
  • Use integrative assessments and stakeholder input to evaluate interacting project goals.
  • Evaluate sustainable locations, travel demand, habitat, rainwater, heat, light, and resilience strategies.
  • Compare water and energy options using stated quantities, operating conditions, and monitoring evidence.
  • Assess life-cycle impacts, sourcing declarations, reuse opportunities, and waste-management decisions.
  • Evaluate ventilation, lighting, sound, thermal comfort, nature connections, and inclusive access.
  • Practice the current 100-question, 120-minute format and interpret practice scores without confusing them with official scaled scores.
