JNCIA-Junos JN0-106 Practice Tests: Routes and Configuration

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

A candidate change is not an active change. The route with the better preference is not necessarily the packet's longest-prefix match. Prepare for JNCIA-Junos JN0-106 by following configuration context, state and ordered decisions rather than recalling a command alone.

Read the network and the Junos control flow

Practice networking and architecture, CLI and basic configuration, operations and routing, and routing policy and firewall filters. Scenarios ask you to calculate subnet boundaries, inspect hierarchy, compare route candidates and trace import, export or packet-filter evaluation.

The 350 original questions include four 55-question focused sets and two 65-question, 90-minute mocks, using Junos OS 21.2 as the software reference.

Find the assumption that broke the trace

Every question includes option feedback, a combined explanation and a review tip. Identify an unresolved next hop, an address outside the match range, a terminal action that stops later evaluation, or a configuration loaded at the wrong level. Use the explanation to reconstruct the sequence before retrying.

Basic Ethernet, addressing, network services and introductory Junos study are recommended. A router lab is optional and not included; command execution and recovery can depend on the actual hardware and release.

The mock domain allocation and 80% target are course-defined, because Juniper does not publish corresponding domain weights or a fixed passing percentage. This is independent preparation for JN0-106, without official exam items or Juniper or HPE endorsement.

What Will You Learn?

  • Calculate IPv4 subnet boundaries and evaluate IPv6 prefixes and address notation.
  • Distinguish Routing Engine responsibilities, Packet Forwarding Engine forwarding, and packet exceptions.
  • Interpret CLI context, candidate configuration, load operations, comparisons, and commit timing.
  • Select appropriate account permissions, authentication behavior, interface settings, and management services.
  • Use operational evidence to investigate interface errors, reachability, upgrades, and recovery requirements.
  • Apply route preference, longest-prefix matching, and routing-instance context in the correct order.
  • Trace routing-policy terms, prefix conditions, stateless filter actions, and reverse-path checks.
  • Review incorrect answers by identifying the condition that rules out each alternative.
