GitHub GH-500 Practice Tests: Verify Advanced Security Work
About Course
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
An accepted scan upload does not prove complete coverage, and closing an alert does not prove an exposed credential is unusable. These GitHub Advanced Security GH-500 practice tests help you separate configuration, evidence and remediation before deciding that security work is complete.
Practise Security suites and entitlement, Secret Protection, dependency inventory and review, CodeQL and security operations. Scenarios state relevant visibility, hosting or policy assumptions, then ask you to follow workflow trust, extraction, dataflow, SARIF origins or repair evidence. Governance questions connect effective access, enforcement and usage with the actual repository context.
The 336 questions form four focused 56-question sets and two 56-question, 100-minute mixed practices. Every alternative has feedback, with an overall explanation and study guidance. Cases also test evidence identity, such as correlating CVE and GHSA aliases rather than counting them as unrelated vulnerabilities.
Begin with a focused area, explain which condition rules out the nearest option and review the relevant documentation. Attempt mixed practice after that review to switch between diagnosis, response and governance without a topic cue.
The scope is the July 2026 GH-500 skills outline. Git, pull-request, Actions and basic application-security familiarity are recommended; no paid subscription is needed to answer the questions. This independent resource provides written practice, not hosted labs or every interactive exam task. Its 56-item length and 80% target are course choices and do not convert to the official scaled passing score or guarantee success.
