SRE Foundation Practice Tests: Explain Reliability Decisions

About Course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

If a service meets its uptime target but data loss now has more serious consequences, which reliability targets or controls should you reassess? These SRE Foundation practice tests help you connect reliability objectives, user needs and operational evidence before choosing an action.

Practise SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error-budget calculations, then compare toil reduction and automation using effort, safety and lasting value. Monitoring and incident scenarios ask you to select useful signals, make proportionate responses and learn from failure. Foundation-level questions also examine progressive delivery, AIOps, generative AI, value streams and platform engineering through their purpose and limits.

The 320 questions form four focused 60-question sets and two 40-question, 60-minute mocks. Each alternative has feedback, with an overall explanation and study prompt. Calculations state the relevant measurement boundary, and scenarios change the deadline, risk or ownership condition that decides the answer.

Use a focused set to locate a distinction you cannot yet explain. Work the calculation independently, revisit your authorised SRE materials and then use a mixed mock to switch between topics under a timer.

The course targets the English Foundation v1.2 scope, rather than Practitioner. Basic software-service and IT-operations familiarity is helpful. The official exam is open book; the course's 65% checkpoint and independently designed module allocation do not predict its result. This independent resource includes written practice rather than official training materials, an exam voucher or certification. Pair it with your own primary study and practical experience.

What Will You Learn?

  • Distinguish SLIs, SLOs and SLAs, and calculate request and time error budgets.
  • Identify toil and evaluate automation using total effort, safety and lasting value.
  • Choose user-relevant monitoring, telemetry and proportionate alert responses.
  • Compare progressive delivery methods and assess automation, AIOps and generative AI limitations.
  • Reason about controlled failure experiments, sustainable incident response and blameless learning.
  • Connect SRE with DevOps, Agile, ITSM, value streams and platform engineering.
