Datadog Fundamentals Practice Tests: Telemetry Decisions
About Course
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
A running Agent does not mean every integration is collecting data. A fleet average can conceal a struggling host. An alert can detect the right condition without reaching the right team. Practice identifying these gaps for Datadog Fundamentals before changing the configuration.
Trace collection through to useful evidence
Work through essential concepts, Agent installation and identity, networking and configuration, metrics and integrations, troubleshooting, dashboards and monitors. Questions distinguish API keys from application keys, local receivers from outbound traffic, cloud integrations from host collection, and filtering from grouping.
The 324 original questions include four 36-question focused tests and two 90-question, 120-minute mixed mocks, using the August 2026 exam-guide scope.
Read the structure, not just the label
Every question includes an explanation and feedback for every option. Short configuration and query examples ask you to count YAML sequence entries correctly, recognize a tag list rather than a mapping, and determine which stage produced the observed symptom. Review the nearest alternative and identify what additional evidence or changed condition it would need.
Basic computing, networking and command-line familiarity is helpful; some Datadog navigation experience supports revision. Programming and system-design projects are not supplied.
All practice questions contribute to the displayed result. The official exam includes unidentified pre-test items, so practice scoring does not reproduce its scored-item selection. Neither the 80% study target nor the course's domain allocation is an official passing score or weight. This independent resource has no Datadog endorsement.
